Have you ever gone into grocery stores and seen a mother who is fat? I am sure you have. What disgusts me is when the mother has fat children too. I can't really get disgusted by fatties anymore, there are way too f***g many of them. I saw a woman who was 200+ pounds in the grocery store earlier, her kids were hella chubby.
I feel like this a form of abuse and child services should intervene in these cases. Perhaps not to take away the kids, but to admonish and educate mothers about what kind of health risks they're passing off on their kids. It's just like a parent who smokes in a car with their kids in the backseat.
Do you think the government should intervene when parents are undermining their kids welfare like in the case of morbid obesity?
Editor's Note: While Mancouch does not have such a blatant opinion on the matter of obesity, we do encourage tolerance for the population who fall under the category being obese. With such a large portion (LOL sorry!) of our nation falling under this spectrum we must learn to accept and ignore their features. It is not our lives that they are living, they're just in the background... as is the rest of the world. We should focus our negative energy on other things.
Let's get mad about the times we go to Wendys and 3/4's of our f***ing cup is filled with ice! Let's talk about why girls want to have sex with the lights off. I still don't understand why. Or let's get pissed about why no store ever has jeans long enough for my tree trunk legs! But let the fat people live and do as they please and there is no need to judge their children either. I'm sure they know that they're embarking on a not-so-easy lifestyle. How about we give them a break.
P.S. - They may not be appealing to you physically, but there is no need to cal them disgusting. Judging a person on their physical features is a form of discrimination f.y.i.

Paul, you should have sent this to momaroo.
@TheTheologiansCafe@xanga - ROFL
@TheTheologiansCafe@xanga - it was on there too.
but the problem is, their kids aren't getting to choose that lifestyle. They aren't being fed healthy food, or taught healthy eating habits. They start out overweight, and it's hard to change once they can choose their diet.
@Paul_Partisan@xanga - Imagine if they changed the name to fatmomaroo@fatmomaroo.com
My hispanic friend in high school called his mom a BMW (Big Mexican Woman) and was grounded for a week it was hilarious.
You have my blessing, good sir. Go forth.
@QuantumStorm@xanga - I think Paul would suffer a stroke if that were to happen.
LOL I feel a hate war coming on here...
@CombinedEffort@xanga - That's true. Eating habits are hard to change... I was raised being allowed to walk away from my dinner if I didn't want any more of it, and I ate junk food and fast food allllllllllllllll theeeeeeee tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime.
Guess what? I still eat the same way. You wouldn't know it by looking at me, since I'm 125 soaking wet and I'm 5'7". But I know for a fact that eating this way makes me unhealthy anyway.
On a lighter note... @SlackerSociety@xanga - Lol!
Ahhhh!!! It resurfaced! Let the angry ranting commenting wars begin.
Flame Wars! I am so tired of hearing the F***ing government ought to step in and run all our lives! Do you all seriously feel that you can't be resposible for yourselves? Get the F**k over it. Micromanage your self for a change, and live and let live. No props for this crap, and no rec either. Grow the hell up people.
@JadeMaster2@xanga - I rarely agree with anyone here on Mancouch, but I 100% agree with you. Take responsibility for your own damn selves and leave everyone else alone. And more government intervention when there's already too much? No thanks.
Dont worry, Paul. The zombie apocalypse will come soon and and survival of the fittest will take care of everything.
Over sharp disagreement based on unstated differences in paradigms.
And pandas..... RAWR!
jerkism shouldn't be endorsed.
Whatever I said on your blog regarding this topic, insert here.
it already is considered child abuse actually...you know that clip of the dancing obese child? that's an actual little girl who was three and looked like that...I believe she was actually taken away from her mother, while her mom went and took parenting classes, than got her back and had to put her on a strict diet. The poor kids don't get to choose that lifestyle though, as someone else said..they whine about wanting more of something and the parents most likely don't want to hear it, so they just give in. It's kind of sad =[
Morbidly obese people disgust me. I'm sorry, but it's something that they CAN control. I don't care if they were raised by fat parents. My dad is morbidly obese and i'm not. I'm a healthy vegetarian.
for parents, I say not taking care of yourself means not taking care of your kids. if you're not a parent, not taking care of yourself is selfish to others... ok, I'm not really making much sense. what good can the government do by intervening? prevention is better than an attempt to fix the problem...
.. Is it just me? Or has anyone noticed people have to tip toe with all of these girls on the internet? I swear. Since the rise of feminisim, 99.9% of all women are getting more and more psychotic by the second. Mancouch, just post what you want. Seriously. Don't even bother writing an editors note for the girls. This is MAN couch. Not Crazy horde of angry girls with pitch forks in their hands couch.
It would be wonderful if the government could find a way to discretely intervene in the case of an overweight parent passing on bad habits. Know why? Because being morbidly obese is unhealthy. You're at risk for all kinds of ridiculous health problems. Regardless of how bad their metabolisms are, or whatever it is that they supposedly can't help, it is irresponsible of parents to not work harder for their children's health than they do for their own in cases like this.
However, because healthy lifestyles are more expensive, the government should be prepared to subsidize a certain percentage of the changes. That much is only fair.
@CrimsonxIllusion@xanga - That should be a sister site: Crazy-bitches-with-pitch-forks-couch.
No, honestly though, feminism has nothing to do with burning bras or being rude to the opposite sex "just because." Feminism is the idea that--gasp--women should be treated as equally as is physically realistic. That's it. Anybody who tells you otherwise is misinterpreting the ideals completely.
@moon_on_a_string@xanga - I meant it in the sense that people take it to the extremes. No gender is better or worse. However, I find the vast majority of women these days place themselves upon a pedestal, yet.. they lack the resolve to back up such placement. I'm quite fond of genuinely strong women, filled with courage, compassion, and selflessness.
Who cares if people are fat? They are only ruining their own health. And their kids are just that THEIR kids. They can feed them whatever they want. The kids can go outside and play if they want. I think its none of anyone's business. It's not like the fat people in the stores are rubbing their fatness off on you.
@sassypenguin@xanga - Agreed. My kids won't be fat. And they won't be allowed to hang out with fat kids either.
