• Words from the 80's and 90's that should be brought back!

  
  
  I was having a conversation with my friend Luke the other day about a past post that I had written about women who don’t shave underneath their armpits, and from there we started conversing  about shaving private parts. Luke said “I can’t stand when a women doesn’t shave her coochie”.  I looked at him and starting laughing uncontrollably and said “I haven’t heard anyone say coochie in forever”(I think I‘m spelling that right).  He started laughing too, and said “I should bring that word back," and that segwayed into a conversation about words or phrases that people didn’t really use anymore that could use a serious comeback.
  
  Some of these I still say myself, and I think you’ll find that you and your friends may still use some of them as well.
  
  
  Rad:  I was reading on this site about the word rad, more specifically, that people on the West Coast primarily still use the word.  I thought that was really interesting, because I still use the word and I live in Seattle.  What I also read was that this word was made very popular in the 90’s by the cartoon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Totally rad in my opinion!
  
  Fly: I personally use to love this word.  Everything was fly.  Someone’s jacket, someone’s shoes, or hair.  I am originally from Brooklyn, New York and in the mid 90’s this was my go to word about something/or someone that we really liked.
  
  Wack:  This was used a lot in the early 90’s and I actually still use the word from time to time, because everybody knows what this means, even if they don't use it. And if I really think something is just plain dumb and stupid and I don’t want to say “What the hell-that’s just stupid”. I’ll just say “That’s wack” or  “he/she. Is wack.”
  
  Fresh: One of my favorite words from the 80’s. My friends and I in elementary school would say “That new song that was on the radio was fresh” or “Those new Nike’s are fresh."
  
  Fugly:  I love this one by far. At my high school this was thrown out a lot! “F*cking” + “Ugly“=“Fugly”  C’mon you remember!
  
  Boss: This one was my friend Luke’s idea. I guess they used this one a lot in the Midwest (he’s from Milwaukee).  It basically means superior or excellent.  “That 69 Chevy is totally boss.”
