Now, at 22, I wear MUCH less makeup than when I first experimented, go tanning on a regular basis, and have a dating history. Tanning does not help much with reducing the freckles. Like most other freckled girls, I think I'm hoping that one day my freckles will just morph into this one big freckle of beautiful tanned skin. I also wish I looked as good as Meagan Fox does in the picture above.
All boys in the past (and current) have said that my freckles are cute, a sort-of "Kelly" thing that just fits into their mental image of me. In addition to my short stature, standing at 5' tall, I feel like they make me look like a child. I can't even tell you how many people have asked me if I'm 16 years old, and it frustrates me to no end. I don't want to be a cute girl, I want to be a beautiful young lady. My current boyfriend even suggested I get laser treatments done if it bothers me so much, even though he said he barely notices them.
Really, is my worry about these specks unfounded? How do men perceive freckled ladies? Do you think freckled girls are less beautiful than women with smooth, even complexions?

@kungfuhampster@xanga - Ah, what a lovely comment!
Flaunt it! Freckles rock, I has them. You'll be thanking them when you're 29.
Honestly, embrace them. I have so many freckles, and I love them. It doesn't mean we have "uneven skin" (but I think of uneven skin as having red cheeks, and acne). I hardly wear makeup because I love my freckles too much to cover them. I find that if I wear my hair half up and half down, I look 12, because of the look and my freckles. So I never wear my hair that way. But you should appreciate looking younger, it'll be awesome when you're older. I don't think freckles make people look younger, your skin and your facial features (and your personality) do. Freckles are just there for the ride. =)
FRECKLES ARE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
I have freckles. They're just me. They aren't what makes me look young, it's my genetics that make me young looking. I love my freckles.
I looove freckles and think they're beautiful. It's a personal preference I guess.
I LOVE freckles. I don't have a single freckle on my body, so I envy anybody who has them.
I have freckles and I love them. I don't really care what anyone else thinks of them.
Every guy will have a different opinion because they all have different preferences, just like us...
My boyfriend says it's one of the most memorable and beautiful things about me-- that they're different make me look more unique. ^_^ Hope this helps.
Freckles are +1... +2 if they go with glasses. =P
Makeup to try and cover them is -1.
I love my freckles.
I'm a natural red head, which comes along with a very fair complexion and freckles.
I've never had a problem with my freckles, but I am thankful I don't have a large amount of them like many red heads.
My boyfriend loves my freckles and fair skin. He says it's a really big turn on.
sexy
My hubby loves mine but I wish I didn't have them
Being pale and freckled, I remember being bugged a lot from elementary school till recently about it. I used to want to be tan and freckle-less just like everyone else, but now I wouldn't trade my complexion for anything. I think it's beautiful. I'm glad I'm not obsessed with tanning especially because of course, it's harmful and it's a waste of time and money for me. I only have to worry about sunburns, and that's what sunblock is for.
I'm not going to tell you that you should embrace your freckles as if it were that easy. It took me a long time to embrace mine. I just want you to love you, no matter what it takes.
I had freckles when I was young, but I don't get them anymore. I miss them. I don't know what the men thought, but I thought they were cute. I never understood why girls in books hated their freckles, tried to fade them with lemon juice etc.
To me, some girls look cute with freckles. Since they've always had them when I've seen them, I can't really say how different I'd like that person. For the girls who I don't find cute, they're still nice people. It's not a turn off though. It's just an added touch. I personally like cute people though.
For attractive/hot/sexy people, it's still an added touch, though there are few people I've cared to notice having freckles to begin with. I should stare at people's faces more. O.O
I hattteeee my freckles. I've been trying to get rid of them since I was 14. I've used creams to help get rid of them..but they dont even work in the slightest, so I stopped that after a while. Now I mainly forget I have them, even when I look in the mirror to do my make up I sort of trained my mind to ignore them. I only notice them when someone points them out..or mentions freckles...then I'm reminded that I have them, and how much a loath them.
You're just overreacting. You should just be happy with the way you look. People with freckles are beautiful. I have a few friends that have freckles and they're just too cute. Sorry but it is!
lol, i think men like girls that have freckles bc men don't have a perfect skin either...so it makes them feel better, not that freckles r bad, i think they are attractive to some point...
esp. if they were on the chest...lol oooh mama! :PI likes my freckles.
honestly, i think any feature of a woman is attractive.
its nevermind, as long she can love me....
it not freaking me out~~haha
okay 1) most guys who have a preference at all I've seen seem to find them endearing. I think they're cute, not in a baby way, but in a youthful way. 2) STOP TANNING. Then you'll just wind up a wrinkled, cancerous freckled handbag. UGH. Freckles MEAN that your body is not able to produce enough melanin to tan. *facepalm*
