Now, at 22, I wear MUCH less makeup than when I first experimented, go tanning on a regular basis, and have a dating history. Tanning does not help much with reducing the freckles. Like most other freckled girls, I think I'm hoping that one day my freckles will just morph into this one big freckle of beautiful tanned skin. I also wish I looked as good as Meagan Fox does in the picture above.
All boys in the past (and current) have said that my freckles are cute, a sort-of "Kelly" thing that just fits into their mental image of me. In addition to my short stature, standing at 5' tall, I feel like they make me look like a child. I can't even tell you how many people have asked me if I'm 16 years old, and it frustrates me to no end. I don't want to be a cute girl, I want to be a beautiful young lady. My current boyfriend even suggested I get laser treatments done if it bothers me so much, even though he said he barely notices them.
Really, is my worry about these specks unfounded? How do men perceive freckled ladies? Do you think freckled girls are less beautiful than women with smooth, even complexions?

I'm a girl and i love freckles. I like any 'imperfections' and i put it that way because people preceive anything thats fixable by a doctor or whatever as an imperfection. I'm quite envious of people with freckles. My mum and brother have 3 that extend from the nose to the cheek and always wondered when mine would show up and recently discovered that they already have along my bikini line and thats probably the only place they will appear but hey atleast i have some. I have a redhead friend with freckles all over and a brunette with freckled shoulders and the brunette is more self conscious than the redhead. And the redhead gets far more attention. I've never heard of anyone being pushed away from society because of freckles. Its all in your mind. You have to like yourself before anyone else can so embrace them cause if i could i'd take yours and that should make you feel good about yourself.
Freckles are fucking beautiful. My girlfriend always frets about her freckles, but I think they are ridiculously beautiful. Why do you want your skin to be just like every other girl's skin? Why can't you just revel in the awesome stuff that happens to your skin? Love your "flaws." They make you awesome. I just don't understand why women all hate freckles.
Also: Megan fox is terribly unattractive. I don't understand the fervor around her.

I have freckles and i feel cute, beautiful, pretty, attractive, all of the above, obviously, they don't bother me. I think freckles make people look more tan anyways. I happen to be a pale chick with freckles... but hey, we can't have it all!

I have tons of freckles on my shoulders in the summer,and some under my eyes. My boyfriend insists that its cute. I really don't care lol

I don't have freckles, but I'm uber fair skinned (pictures of me in white shirts, the white blends into me sometimes). and while I embrace my skin, a lot of other girls with my skin tone don't. What you said is dead on for ANYONE with skin that is considered "different".

I'd rather have my million freckles than 100pimples
in the summer i burst with freckles even in places that hardly ever reach the sunlight lol... too many freckles can be bothersome. just think of them as beauty marks just all over. therefore your always beautiful all over the place lol.
Freckles are as regular as smooth skin. I don't really judge. They are cute, though.

@SpOnTaNeOuS_sPiTbAlL@xanga - I suppose girls are jealous of the girls whose beauty is equal to Medusa's ability to turn people into stone. That's the kind they want. The features that render you pretty to most, but too pretty to others. It's overrated. Even those with such features will tell you so.
Hate to be the first to break it to you but, tanning causes freckles to get worse. Our skin has these things called melanocytes and when our skin gets damaged by the sun, they produce freckles. More tanning = More freckles.
I have a small patch on each cheek, no big deal. I believe that sometimes freckles can mean skin cancer so tanning can make more of them and this time, they won't be a gift from God.
As long as you're hot, you're ok.
@Justaconcept@xanga - yep, that's why I wear sunscreen on my face AND put a towel on my head when I go tanning. I just use bronzer on my face.
I have basically a million freckles, and I get the "cute" response a lot too. People also tend to think I'm WAY younger than I am, and everyone says "you'll appreciate that someday" but idk.
Yep I hate my freckles too.. & I can't tan either, which makes them stand out more in the summer..
@The_Tudor_Rose@xanga - yep.. same here lol. Except I'm just now accepting my paleness, I attempted to tan last summer & did a lil bit..After the blistering sunburn of course. Than it faded after about 2 weeks.

I had a face full of freckles as a kid. I'm a light-skinned redhead so it comes with the territory. I've never had a guy say one bad thing about freckles to me. But sometimes a little kid used to ask me why I had spots. You're still young and freckles tend to fade as you get older. But tanning makes them stay longer. My facial freckles have faded a lot but the ones on my arms and shoulder are still in full force. Freckles don't make anybody ugly.
Oh, and trust me, you'll enjoy looking younger the older you get! lol
@Veronicaofcourse@xanga - Oh, yes you will appreciate looking younger one day! When I was about 36 I got carded by a young girl and I kinda flipped out. Then, she told me it was because she thought I was her age (she was 21) and she really didn't believe I was old enough. Heck, yeah I loved it... despite hating it when I was 21 and people thought I was 16.
Freckles are simultaneously cute and sexy! Especially when they have red or dark hair too, but then again they look great with lighter color hair also!
