FCC May Ban the Word 'God' from Adult Films
WASHINGTON D.C. - On the heels of the recent decision to have the “n-word” removed from Mark Twain’s literary classic Huckleberry Finn and replaced with “slave” (because that is quite an improvement in status), representatives from the American Atheists have asked the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Congress to censor all instances of the word “god” in pr0nographic films.
The AA released this statement: "More and more Americans are converting to Atheism every day. The American Atheists are dedicated to protecting all practicing atheists from persecution, discrimination, or otherwise unfair treatment. Each time an atheist beats off, adult film stars' beliefs are being shoved down that atheist's throat, as a penis is shoved down theirs."
If the atheists get their way, it would mean no more “Oh GOD f#$% me harder!” or “GOD that is HUGE!”
Representatives of the adult film industry worry, however, that removal of the word “god” - extremely prevalent in pr0nographic films and a word carrying a quite powerful emotional connotation - could seriously compromise the artistic integrity of such classics as Black Poles/White Holes, Schindler's Fist, Saturday Night Beaver, and many others.
Interestingly, the Catholic Church has come out in support of America's pr0n industry in a baffling public statement by Pope Benedictine XVI. “The Catholic Church stands by the notion that God and the Holy Spirit are omnipotent and omnipresent. The spirit’s presence can be felt, and should be appreciated, in all locations, in all facets of life; including when that barely legal, curious teenager is getting pounded mercilessly by a ten-incher."
An FCC spokesperson told Mancouch, "The FCC takes disputes of this kind very seriously. We will carefully evaluate all the facts to make sure that our new policy is designed to spoil the most fun for everybody. More information will be known in the weeks to come, as additional details are uncovered"
The American Atheists have suggested a few possible replacements for the word "god," including "Darwin," "physics," "imaginary man in the sky," and "personification of the laws of nature that helps humans accept the weirdness of the natural order of things while still maintaining a false sense of importance and purpose."

@Disharmonic_Convergence@xanga - This didn't even happen. Obviously this guy made up a phony story seeing as how he has provided no links whatsoever. The problem is, Mancouch is mixing real news commentary with shit you get off The Onion. Either you stick with real news or you stick with parody, don't mix the two.
Come on...this has got to be from The Onion or something. XD
@coolmonkey@xanga - I knew it!
Wow .. some people actually think this is a true story? Religious folk, I'm guessing. You religious should know better...atheists would not waste time on ridiculous things like this...majority of them have above average IQ.
im glad that i have the real ver of Huckleberry Finn. im not raciest but i do believe taking out the N word would take away the feeling of the book. also if people edit the N would why not edit raciest words like Cracker.
@Hinase@xanga - Seriously Hina! WTF. If there were a censored version maybe?
But that's defacing literature. He didn't write in the word SLAVE, he didn't mean the word slave...
I mean, that's changing context. It's not remotely ethical as far as preservation of literature.
IS THIS A JOKE
@aCe_KeiAnar@xanga - Exactly.
this is so stupid. atheistssss
lol
@Hinase@xanga - @aCe_KeiAnar@xanga -
The US government didn't censor the book, certain schools have just decided to drop it from their curriculum, and an Alabama publisher decided to cash in on the opportunity to provide a version without the offending words. The book has been "edited" by a "Twain scholar," not quite rewritten and definitely not by the government.

I don't agree with either move, though.
@TheBillion@xanga - I know the government didn't. Iwas just talking in general that's all. But it's sad to see it censored and all. I've actually read the Adventures of Huck Finn..and it's not a bad book really. I actually enjoyed it. Still, that kind of censorship is bad.
@TheBillion@xanga - Meh Hates its!
@Hinase@xanga - I agree, it's wrong.
@TheBillion@xanga - It may not be politically correct but it shows something of that era and it's a classic for sure. No one should try to whitewash that kind of history, no matter how bad or good it is. It's history and it's meant to be learnt from and understood. =D
LOLLLL
Did I click on the Onion by mistake? There's a perfect solution. In Arthur C. Clark's book 3001, they use the word "Deus" post discovery of the Monolith. (you have to read it and his 2001 books to understand)
*cue idiots who only read the first paragraph*
@Hinase@xanga - 100% agreed. there's a big difference between not using the word in the present day and pretending it wasn't used in the past. we cannot let ourselves forget our history, and that starts with being honest with our kids about how the U.S. isn't perfect
@Disharmonic_Convergence@xanga - @WhenHateIsTheOnlyOption@xanga - you guys realize this is a joke right? it seems ridiculous for a reason: it's fake
@LoBornlytesThoughtPalace@xanga - That seems quite unamerican of you. Seeing as America is a free country. You're always complaining about the left taking your rights away. But then you want to take the rights away from others just because they have a different opinion or a different point of view than you do. This seems contradictory.
Anyway, this was a funny post. I really made me laugh aloud. I couldn't believe it when it came out about the word nigger being banned from the book. I was frustrated. That is history, it's a good way to show how our society has evolved. It causes good discussions to sprout in class.
On another note this post has made me want to go watch some porn.
Good post, but this is just ridiculous. Soon we'll be limited to a strict set of okay words and a giant plethora of banned words.
wow. should've finished reading before I started googling...now I just feel stupid...lol
I LOVE FAKE NEWS!!!
@Unstoppable_Inner_Strength@xanga - I'm all for responding to LoBorn's insane troll logic, but you should read the wikipedia article you linked to. Most historians agree that Hitler's goal was to eradicate Christianity, not atheism.
@TrekkieECH@xanga - That's highly contested, at best. Hitler was never excommunicated by the Catholic Church. His writings on Mein Kampf confirm his Christian faith. There's data to support both positions. He may have later wanted to eradicate Christianity, but it was to establish his own version of it. He didn't have any intentions of stopping belief in Jesus and god, only to rearrange them to fit his own ideas. It's kinda what most do anyway. Why do you think there are so many denominations? LOL!
In any case, my reference to Hitler was because he was a dictator, and Loborn said she wanted to ban atheists. That's a dictatorial/fascist thing to do. I could've used any other dictator, but Hitler is the most famous.
