"Once you go Black Swan, you never go back...swan"
Like many people of America, I stopped watching Saturday Night Live a long time ago because let’s face it -- the show really isn’t that funny anymore. When I came home last Saturday from celebrating the crazy upset of the New Orleans Saints losing to 7-9 Seattle Seahawks, I plopped down on the couch and SNL happened to be on, and to my surprise Jim Carey was hosting for the first time in 15 years. I knew I would be in tears from all the laughter by the end of the show.
The best skit that I saw of the night was the parody they did of the movie “Black Swan”. In the skit Carey took on the role of Lily portrayed by Mila Kunis in the movie, and tried to show fellow ballerina Nina (who was played by a SNL cast member) how to be a seductive black swan and master it. I personally thought it was funny-not as funny as the old Jim Carey skits on the 90’s show In Living Color, but I was definitely entertained.
It was hilarious when Carey came out in a tutu, black leotard, and a bun stating that he was late because he “ Sorry I was late, had to go No's. 3 and 4”. I know what No. 1 and No. 2 is, but 3 and 4 I have no clue and now come to think about it, I’m better off not knowing.
Watching him dance and prance on stage was comical while another dancer fed him breadcrumbs, but one of my favorite parts is where the director Thomas asks the male dancer would he have sex with Nina, and Lily. He looks first at Nina, and shakes his head no, and when he looks over at Lily, Carey has one finger in his mouth licking it, and then puts his whole fists in his mouth. Gotta love it!
He also sported his own swan wings that were actually buffalo wings which I thought was a great touch. In my opinion he made a wonderful attempt to seduce the director, and in my version would have won the role. To show he was sexier than Nina he went as far as not only showing his nipples to the world, but he also stuck gum into the directors ear!Real sexy Jim.
The spoof received good and bad reviews all over the internet. I personally laughed the entire time. Even if you haven’t seen the movie, I think you’ll still find the skit funny. It highlighted what Jim Carey does best: Acting over the top! I won’t spoil the entire skit for you, so check it out here for yourself.
Did you think the skit was humorous?

YES! This reminded of how much I used to love SNL, and I've been going on an SNL binge on hulu ever since I watched this.
I actually started watching SNL again about a year ago. They have a totally new approach to comedy from back when I used to watch it in the early-mid 90s, but it's pretty funny again I think. I say give it another shot. Seth Meyers is probably my favorite anchor for Weekend update since Norm MacDonald. The digital shorts are pretty funny too.
lol it was pretty funny
LOL
The picture alone makes me think he was freakin' hilarious.
Jim Carey is so cataclysmically unfunny that I actually feel embarrassed for him whenever I have to watch his crap. Someone needs to put him out of his misery.
It was surprisingly funny. The skit was strong. I'm loving some members of the new cast though but they have to be a bit more creative with their characters and digital shorts.
And my family hates this guy... O_o I loved this skit. I don't usually watch SNL, but if Jim Carrey does more, I'll watch more. I watched the movie, and it was a great movie, but I will never turn down a great parody. definitely laughed a little too loud... xD
I am a huge fan of Jim Carey. My mother and grandmother totally love him. Thank you all for leaving comments!

"She's hungry! Hungry for bread crumbs!"
@RazorBladeParade@xanga - LOL! That was my favorite part too :D
@RazorBladeParade@xanga - Funny as all hell!!!
I'm really not a huge fan of Jim Carrey but I actually found myself laughing out loud at this skit. I never really watch SNL anymore (usually I'm working) and this was the first time in a while I was able to, and I was nicely surprised with how funny it was.
It's actually Carrey.
I haven't seen the movie, nor do I watch SNL often. Jim Carey was hilarious in this skit. I was laughing in my head during the skit...but when Jim Carey was doing his own interpreted dancing...I couldn't stop laughing out loud. Thanks for sharing..it made my night.
SNL has never been funny in the history of the show. When Madtv first came out, it was nice to have sketch comedy show that was actually funny. As for this skit, it seems he is trying too hard. I miss the days of Dumb & Dumber and Ace Ventura.
LOL that was awesome :D
That. Was. HILARIOUS.
