Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy is pretty good, for a Facebook Game.
So today I stared playing the Facebook Assassin's Creed game, Project Legacy. I've never played any Facebook game except for some stupid superhero one almost 5 years ago, so this is a new experience for me. And no, I have never and will never play Farmville, unless they are willing to pay me, in that case, I'm in. But back to Legacy, I have to admit it's really not half bad. Sure the music starts to wear on you (thank god for mute) but its a nice little side distraction when I'm trying to think of something to write.Legacy does have something of a story. If you haven't played any of the games this might all sound like jibberish to you, so be warned. You are an Abstergo employee and the company has you training on the animus using new memories not found in any of the games so far to train you.
There is no actual combat, game play consists of waiting for your Action Points to refill, then entering a memory and executing different parts of it to get closer to your target. As you complete parts of it a story of sorts unfolds, but so far (I'm on the third chapter) it is pretty limited. Most of the story takes place outside the animus. Every time you complete a chapter you are asked a series of questions. They are all multiple choice, but I have the feeling there is something seriously wrong going on here.
The formula is simple, but its supposed to be, and its actually kind of rewarding. I'm level 10 right now (of 100) and while I doubt I'll make it all the way to the top, it does make it easier waiting for Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.
There is also some indication that the in game achievements may have some bearing on the console game if you link it with your uPlay account. I'm not sure what these are though. If its just more money or armor or something then it might not be worth it. However if getting to 100 gives me additional challenge missions I'm game.
There is a multiplayer mode but its really just a roll of the dice, with each player's level giving them advantages and disadvantages. Its not great so far and you have to give up Action Points (you get one back every 2 minutes and a full set when you level up) and wager gold. I've only done it once or twice and it didn't really grab me yet, maybe it'll get better as I level up.
As I said, Legacy is not amazing. So far the story is just intriguing enough to keep me clicking, but it could fall flat on its face. The game play is completely passive and if the story doesn't pick up soon that might be the only reason I keep play. It might also be the reason I forget I signed up in the first place.
Are you playing Legacy? What do you think?

Nope. Not a Facebook fan but am awaiting Brotherhood anxiously. Have you seen the trailer? So awesome.
I'm playing Project Legacy. I'm thinking about linking it to my boyfriend's Brotherhood account because I don't have an Xbox. It's kind of a pain in the ass, because I have territories so I need to wait a long time before I get the money I need. I'm level 19, but still in Chapter 3. I don't know how far along you are - chapter wise - but I unlocked a memory that really pissed me off. I'm stuck at a certain point in the game right now because I need about 18000 florin. ugh. It's fun though. I waste my time on Facebook with it (well, before I run out of action points).
i like it !!
