  • Yu-gi-oh The Abridged Series (An Anime Parody)

After a long ass week (they all seem to be long lately don't they?) I need something to make me laugh.  A few weeks ago I shared internet satirist David Thorne with you guys.  Some people knew him, a lot didn't.  This week I'm coming at you with another classic.  Now, I've found that a surprisingly small amount of people have actually heard of this, which kind of amazes me.  So without further ado I present to you, Yu-gi-oh The Abridged Series!

Of all the beautiful, beautiful things the internet has given me, this has to be in the top 10.  Anyone remember this show?  Years ago after, Pokemon started to decline a bit, another Japanese Manga was turned into a show for the states.  Yu-gi-oh follows the story of Yugi Moto and his sort of rock-starish-spirit-friend-guy, The Pharaoh.  But honestly, you don't have to give a shit about that to enjoy this version of the show.

LittleKoriboh has changed up the dialogue and even after almost four years of watch, I am still laughing to the point of tears at every episode.  Sure its best if you used to watch the show ( I did for a few years, I'll admit).  But even if you're just an anime fan, or even better, someone who hates anime, you'll love this.

Start at the beginning and enjoy!

Do you have any hilarious parodies you'd like to share?

    • About Me: I'm currently a junior at the University of Delaware studying Creative Writing with minors in History and Political Science. I love to read, write, play videogames, and watch movies (though my schedule no longer affords much time for the second two). My favorite movie is probably The Dark Knight (real original, I know) and my favorite game is probably Red Dead Redemption (though that may change when Arkham Asylum 2 comes out). Other than that I like to listen to music (rock and metal mostly). Honestly the only genre I really cannot stand is Country. Being from New York originally I root for any New York team (Yankees, Mets, Giants, Jets) so long as they are beating the crap out of a Philly team.
