Lesbian Erotica: Why Do Guys Like It?
I can't get it in my head why guys are turned on by lesbians and lesbian erotica. They are lesbians having sex. The operative word being lesbians.
They are not going to invite you to join in, they are lesbians, who generally, are not interested in men.

I do however, have a theory about why men enjoy watching two chicks go at it. It mostly has to do with the female form. Women have beautiful, curvacious bodies, complete with long, gorgeous hair and lots of other features that men generally find attractive. Men, by comparison, have very utilitarian bodies. We've got bigger muscles, hair in all the worst places, and a pretty unattractive set of sex organs.
So, put that thought into the perspective of a guy watching an adult movie. Does he watch it because he likes to see another man having sex with a woman? Not at all. We barely look at the guy. We watch it because we enjoy seeing women being overtly sexual. The sight of a woman engaged in a sexual act turns us on. In the case where it's a guy and a girl, we're most likely imagining ourselves in the guy's place.
Now put that thought into the perspective of a guy watching a pair of lesbians. He's getting a double-dose (or triple, or quadruple, depending on the kind of film we're talking about) of what he likes to see: nude women doing very naughty things.
It's not at all about being invited in. That thought is naive. Sure, it's a nice fantasy, but in reality, it's not going to happen. Unless, of course, you're Mdongivin, in which case, it's probably already happened many times (And that's why we love you).
For the rest of us, it's about satisfying curiosity and taking a look at something we enjoy: women. The fact that those women happen to be touching each other is just adds to the fun.

umm simply thinks women are beautiful..far grander than any sunset or sunrise, far grander than any work of art, statue or otherwise. the fact of having such in throws of passion with each other and knowing how soft the skin...wet the thighs...heat burning from with the loins... slightest tension of the lips...how they press... umm what could be better than that? sides making a sandwich with them of course (and have been there done that as well : )

My friend and I went around asking every guy we could find if they were turned on by lesbians. The answer was a resounding Hell Yes! and when we asked why, the answer was, Uhhhh, cuz it's just hot?

And don't tell me that's some small, marginalized subset; I've seen the pages of Harry Potter slash. I mean, seriously. We're talking reams of that kinda stuff, mostly written by females.
To the poster: Good, but naive question/post. To Mancouch: Spot on... And yes it has happened a couple of times, three in all. Once of which, with actual lesbians. I've said this before and I'll say it again, god bless alcohol. However, one of said lesbians ended up wanting to date me, so I guess you could call into question how deep her lesbianism went; but I'm just going to go ahead and take that as a win anyway.

Lots of girls think Brad Pitt's hot, and lots of old ladies think he's hot, too. Not like he's interested in all of them.
I think the beauty of the female form is part of it. I think the extremely latent homophobia is partly at work too. As you stated, in straight porn, men don't watch the other men. But sometimes they see them anyway by mistake. that's never going to happen in lesbian erotica.
But I think the biggest things is the whole fantasy aspect. Of course you are never going to get invited into a lesbian thing, that's why it's a fantasy. Sex for men often comes with a lot of performance anxiety and pressure. Watching two women go at it has none of that baggage.
Who cares. More boobs for us men to enjoy.

Yeah, the original author's points are silly. You don't watch a man do a woman because you think you'll get "invited" in. It's just about the arousal, and in some cases, having something nice to look at.
In other words, it's not like the majority of men find lesbian sex between two completely, atrociously ugly women appealing.
