Once out of the radiance of a sunrise, a beautiful girl makes headway into the mainstream not solely for her looks but also her talent. And she never shook it a day in her career. Finally, a girl with so much beauty she can bring her audience--and the manliest manly men--to sublime tears.
Her name is Katherine Jenkins. She's so gorgeous she could be a Bond girl, so beautiful she could have been Botticelli's muse. Her mezzo-soprano voice sounds like soft bells and honey, like opera needs to sound. She started out as a classically trained songbird but has made the switch to crossover-classical, helping to spread her talent with a much larger audience. Thanks be to God.
She was born in Wales and naturally in the UK she's huge, having sung at dozens of sporting events and sold millions of albums. At 17 she won a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music. She's sung alongside Andrea Bocelli, Ronan Tynan and even in front of the Queen of England several times. As a model, she won the Face of Wales way back in 2000.
Her songs almost always have a positive message, all the more reason to honor her.

Wow, but.. she's still kinda showing off her goods, a little. I know that's all publicism, wanting to feel like a young woman, so on and so forth buuut she's not quite covered. I agree, though. She's fricken' gorgeous and sings beautifully. :)

@SaMoAnTeiNe00@xanga - This is how good talent USED to be found... the better way, in my opinion. There didn't used to be ridiculous contests and talent searches for artists. Artists used to start out making covers of already hit songs, back when they struggled to make it. And how can you say she's NOT talented? Her range is amazing. Not many can sing that high without breaking.
She's really good...but the songs done better by Sarah McLachlan. Maybe I just say that cuz I'm the biggest McLachlan fan in the universe though...But it's really cool when you play them together. At the same time. =D

The comments on this make me laugh, in England everyone is in LOVE with her. Including me, I'm not going to lie. She's a lovely woman, she was a school teacher before a singer. This isn't her best song (the original wasn't made for her type of voice), but if you listen to her actual aria's they're breath taking.

@crazy2love@xanga - Just because someone gets discovered on a talent search doesn't mean they're any less talented then people who get lucky ... If anything I think it's more of an honest way to get famous because most of the time a celebrity's only famous because of who they know or being born into it/getting super lucky. To be honest I've seen tons of Idol contestants that sing much better than this. I never said she wasn't talented either, I'm just saying if you're really that awesome you could come up with a new song or at least change it up a little bit. She totally butchered that song .. her voice sounds like her throats closed up.
