Controversy Over Sexy Gamer Girls

I'm not a huge fan of Seth Green, but I think he has something here. This video was brought to my attention via my cousin. LINK
Besides the fact that the singing is fairly eh, the message itself is pretty awesome. Plus, I'm all about the hot, nerdy girls. What really jumped out at me were the reasons why the author of the article was hesitant to post the video to begin with:
"Because it has attractive women claiming their nerdery in various states of undress, [it] is going to result in the same three types of comments it always does:The first point I don't really agree with. The fact that there ARE attractive nerdy/geeky girls has been established for a while, despite what some people still may think.
• The erroneous belief that attractive girls can't possibly be nerd girls
• The controversy over why attractive nerd girls inevitably need to be naked (or nearly so) while proclaiming themselves to be nerd girls
• And, of course, the always welcome comments from guys claiming that the attractive girls are actually not attractive, and that they would never fuck them, even though that's a lie and they'd never, ever have to make that decision anyways"
The second one I can answer. Us nerdy girls like to be "naked or nearly naked" because we can. Duh! If "normal" attractive girls can be naked, why can't hot girl nerds?
As for the final point, I still can't wrap my head around it. I've actually been a victim of this one due to a few of my posts. Boys, does it make you feel big and bad for putting down some other girl. Regardless of whether YOU think she is pretty, why do you feel the need to bring her down? Since when is it a crime to have confidence in yourself? I say, you go, girl, for having confidence to say you are sexy! And, these girls in the video are actually hot. Don't argue!

I hate this video.
Once again, nerdy/gamer/geeky girls don't need to be provocative to be attractive. I feel like a lot of girls who are nerdy/gamers/geeky and especially attractive tend to exploit the fact that they are such. Portrayed as overly sexy. Sigh.
Not to mention their singing is awful. Terrible song in general.
Also, sorry, I don't mean to be a hater on a bulk of your posts, but that's just the way I feel. No hard feelings.

Nerdy hot girls are just another portion of the population and not worth it to make a god-awful song about. Some are whores and some are not and some are good at what they do and some are not. Either way, that song was just horrible sounding.
Now if my female friends and I broke into fights over which Star Wars books were canon and whether RPGs or shooters are better and everytime that ended up with our clothes ripping off and us rolling around on the ground about to engage in porn-worthy activities, maybe nerdy hot girls would be worth the extra attention. Otherwise, it is just another group of people another group of people is into.
You don't see other hot girl groups feeling insecure enough to constantly have to make posts about how hawt and totally awesome they are.

I think it is just to draw more attention to themselves to boast about, such as the unnecessary distraction of female beach volleyball players wearing the sexy bikini bottom that they have to constantly adjust while male volleyball players can play volleyball just fine wearing regular shorts. it is about skills and not extra attention of how sexy or not sexy they are.

98% (okay, made up statistic but I'm going by MY experience) of "gamer girls" aren't very attractive. Just being honest! However, there are pretty girls like myself (if I may be confident in saying so) and my female room mate that do not have a problem playing PlayStation with our men on occasion. I also enjoy reading comic books with my fiance every now and then. Nerdy? Maybe. But our main bonding time with our men aren't spent playing games. As I said at first, most girls I've met that play games as religiously as guys aren't attractive. Sorry to say.
Haven't we had this debate already? The singing was bad but the whole thing was decent.
I didn't even know Seth Green did stuff like this. He was hilarious...some of the lyrics were really funny.....but I don't see why this video should be taken to seriously. Sure there's flaws and it's up for critisim, but hot girls are fun to watch. :P.
As far as geeky girls go...who cares? Hot or not. Pretty girls play! I can't judge my looks myself, but I know lots fo hot girls that play. This myth should be dispelled! :P

YES hot girls can be gamers. I play WoW, and a lot of guys IRL haven't been leaving me alone lately, so obviously I'm not an "ugly fat chick". I think that the lame ass guys who have no life other than WoW and CoD like to talk shit about girl gamers because they hate that they're still getting their asses pwnd horrrribly rofl. It's pretty sad to see the ally trade chat @ 2am (at least on gnomer lol) the trolls on there are horrible omg.
