There is nothing worse than waking up in the morning with that unsettled stomach and a head heavier than an anvil. A late night of drinking and poor decisions will often leave you in this state. You'll want to blast the air conditioning and not leave your bed for hours and hours.
But I have learned through my days and nights with the drink that a good greasy meal will often help things up a bit. Something about fried and fatty just happens to cure my hangovers. I don't know why. It is kind of contradictory that this would happen. I would expect some healthy / fresh fruit would make everything better. And water often does nothing. So I just crawl to my car with my sun glasses on and go and get some Chinese food.
I don't know why or how I discovered that Chinese food was my cure for the morning after but now it is my go-to meal. I can be 11:30 in the morning and I'll be ordering half of the menu.
And what is even better about it is that most Chinese food can be ordered to go. So there is nothing better than bringing home a ton of food and lounging out on your couch, still in the clothes you slept in.
Chinese food in mass amounts is even better. Your stomach may still feel a little weak so you can eat a little and save some for later. It's a very easy solution.
I know a lot of people who are not fans of the Chinese cuisine so they'll often go to Taco Bell, KFC, or even Wawa. Any of these work and I have tried many. Some even do breakfast food but I have found breakfast food to be too filling. But for me, Chinese usually cures me right away and leaves me ready to go and start drinking again.
What is your favorite hangover meal choice?

Well it's anything that is not take out for a start. Mostly because take out meals are so so huge, I can't eat one thing of the menu alone. One box of chicken chow mein with nothing with it is huge and I can barely eat about half.
Generally I drink a lot of water. To hydrate me and prevent spots breaking out - because most likely I'll be wearing makeup from the night before. As for food, anythng that isn't sweet. Chocolate is a definite no, cakes, pastries. They make me want to heave the morning after. It absolutely has to be savoury. But I haven't found one single food I will always turn to.
greasy food usually does it for me, i go for a mcdouble & a large fry since Mcdonalds is right by my house, or a sausage mcmuffin & a hashbrown .
PHO.
What is pho? And I could really use some hangover food right now.
Wonton soup almost always does the trick. The broth anyway...wish I had some..
