There is nothing worse than waking up in the morning with that unsettled stomach and a head heavier than an anvil. A late night of drinking and poor decisions will often leave you in this state. You'll want to blast the air conditioning and not leave your bed for hours and hours.
But I have learned through my days and nights with the drink that a good greasy meal will often help things up a bit. Something about fried and fatty just happens to cure my hangovers. I don't know why. It is kind of contradictory that this would happen. I would expect some healthy / fresh fruit would make everything better. And water often does nothing. So I just crawl to my car with my sun glasses on and go and get some Chinese food.
I don't know why or how I discovered that Chinese food was my cure for the morning after but now it is my go-to meal. I can be 11:30 in the morning and I'll be ordering half of the menu.
And what is even better about it is that most Chinese food can be ordered to go. So there is nothing better than bringing home a ton of food and lounging out on your couch, still in the clothes you slept in.
Chinese food in mass amounts is even better. Your stomach may still feel a little weak so you can eat a little and save some for later. It's a very easy solution.
I know a lot of people who are not fans of the Chinese cuisine so they'll often go to Taco Bell, KFC, or even Wawa. Any of these work and I have tried many. Some even do breakfast food but I have found breakfast food to be too filling. But for me, Chinese usually cures me right away and leaves me ready to go and start drinking again.
What is your favorite hangover meal choice?

Anything greasy works for me. I prefer a triple meat whataburger and fries. Sometimes I will just order a domino's thin crust pepperroni pizza so I don't even have to leave the house. I will have to try the chinese food next time, that really is some greasy deliciousness!
I enjoy greasy foods the morning after as well. I usually do a banana and a large powerade first things though to hydrate and replinish potassium (major culprit of headaches). Then I will normally grab a cold slice of pizza from the fridge, or just eat at work (sonic drive in). I usually have one of the breakfast burritos and tots. =P
Large Black & White Shake (or Frap if your from Baahston)!
Pho!!!!
eggs benedict with the special iced tea from work :]
Veggie burgers. Extra tomato. And a large sprite.
jimmy johns!
My favorite is a big breakfast like an omelet, home fries/hash browns, pancakes and coffee. Nothing cures my hangover better than a greasy breakfast.
mine's definitely chinese.
@mewithoutu77@xanga - i have to agree!
taco bell... and jimmy johns is my drunk food. hate it sober, ill eat it and the gross beansprouts in it when im drunk.
MASHED POTATOES!
Anything and everything salty. I also get random cravings for random foods.
@WhiteNinja89@xanga - Agreed! It's the only cure I know of!
What's funny is before I even read the post, when all I saw was the title, I already knew my response would be the Chinese buffet. All you can eat $6.95 lunch. Absolute perfect cure for any hangover!
Greasiest, emptiest food I can find; in other words, any fast food. Usually its McDonald's double cheeseburgers... Fast food is cheap, it's greasy, and you don't feel like you threw up anything particularly good or expensive.
Whoa how can anybody do greasy? I usually do fruits and bread, since those are the only things I can probably have queasy-free thoughts about.
A glass of Glenlivet with two ice cubes and a beer. Right back where you started, drink for another six or seven hours and wake up the next day without a hangover at all.
EW, greasy foods for a hangover??? what? I usually eat them before I drink, so as not to have the alcohol pass straight into my system and become nauseous.
Anyhow, definitely something refreshing and light, e.g. fruits, vegetables, freshly baked bread, etc.
scrambled egg on toast with LOADS of ketchup :)
chinese food definitely<3
i heard pho works wonders
Breakfast food.
Pancakes. Some kind of meat [ham, sausage, bacon], grits, and eggs. With a cup of coffee and a glass of OJ if it was a REALLY good night.... You can't beat that, my friends.
chicken biscuit, hashbrowns, and a large sweet tea!!
