A Portrait of the Artist as a Genitalia

You've seen it, I've seen it, and chances are your Mother has too. I'm talking about, of course, digital photographs of male genitals; more commonly known as “dick pix”. It's not a new phenomenon and it has certainly pervaded longer than Mel Gibson's career. Why?

One of the main reasons contributing to the omnipresence of photos of male genitalia is of course digital photography. Digital cameras and camera phones have facilitated our ability to take spontaneous photos and what is more spontaneous than an excited member? Our technological advances are practically begging people to show off. Just look at Chatroulette. Human inhibitions have not been lowered necessarily, it is simply easier to document those moments of loosened hindrances.
The second reason for the overwhelming amount of “dick pix” floating around, I assume, is because men believe that women are appreciative of the gesture and will be inclined to return the favor. Most of the time, that is not the case. In fact, some women are even repulsed by it. Yet those photographs rule the airwaves and the internet. Is it hardwired in men to send pictures of their genitals regardless of the response?
Be honest. Have you ever sent “dick pix”? Do you get positive feedback?

I received one once and freaked out. Sorry, I just don't want to see that on my phone.
If my SO sent one to me.. I don't think repulsed would be the word.
More like incredibly angry that he lives in another city...
Please don't show it to me. It is not flattering and contrary to your belief, it will not make my day, kthx.
I haven't recieved one, nor do I want one..
I'm just curious, do men enjoy up close pictures of vaginas? I've never found genitalia of either gender to be particularly attractive when disassociated from the rest of the body.
I saw the one SexyGamerGirl received...we were grossed out. I mean dont get me wrong it was a nice one, it's just sometimes things are better left to the imagination or an in-person visual.
@just_the_average_jane@xanga - Completely agreed.
I've enjoyed getting 'dick pix' from my SO at times. hehehehe.
From anyone else though? NO.
@just_the_average_jane@xanga - no, we don't. That's gross.
And yes, I have. Made the misses happy.
@just_the_average_jane@xanga - Agreed.
@just_the_average_jane@xanga - I would but that may explain, another reason, why I'm single! lol
I'd prefer to see it in real life.
im in a long distance relationship and i ask my man for these kind of pictures.
but i wouldnt like random ones from other people
Once. By snail mail. She expressed interest though, so it wasn't unwarranted.
i had a random classmate show me a pic she'd gotten while we were in class. it was a disturbing moment.

That's kind of like sending a vag pic. No thanks. I don't think either of those are appealing unless you're both pretty horny. I love sex and I love all the aspects of sex but if I'm not in the mood, and that's pulled out, I laugh a little and can't look at it straight. haha! And no, I'm not looking for any "Maybe you just haven't seen on man enough", please.
I take them and send them around occasionally.
