However, sometimes it's tough to decipher what people are really saying in their dating profiles.
Cracked broke down some over-used cliches with their online dating translator.
Do you think a short cliché-laden paragraph and a couple of MySpace-angled photos are enough for you to get romantically involved with someone? Do you think any of these generalizations by Cracked are true?

I totally agree with this bro, that's why orgies aren't fun, cause they say they wanna sleep with you but like don't actually want to sleep with you like they said they did on the dating website

This is funny but, I think, speaks the truth.
On the online world what you see isn't always what you get. I see the whole online thing as a bit of a cop out, to be honest. Do we have no social skills anymore?

@Super_Andy@xanga - I used to think that only socially inept nerds and middle-aged desperados used internet dating, but things have really changed in the last ten years. But just look at the stats: over 70% of American are online. The internet is only another extension of our lives (as much as we hate to admit it).
However, I'm still wavering on the possibility of actually finding true love on the internet (even though those eHarmony ads keep trying to tell us it's possible).
