  • Can Humans And Robots Peacefully Coexist?

With the advancing technologies being developed all over the world today, robots and articifical intelligence never seemed more possible. It begins with a calculator doing our math for us as we punch in different multiplications and problems to have it solved for us. Soon enough, we have a Roomba cleaning the floor in our apartment. Although the Roomba is sort of dumb, it's still a machine. Technology is advancing and it's amazing, but I can't help but think, when will the robots try to take over?

Movies like A.I, I, Robot and The Matrix Trilogy scare the hell out of me. I, Robot is pretty possible because people are damn lazy. I know for sure if they began selling robots to do laundry and cook, I would get one in an instant. In the image above, the farmer, Wu Yulu built a robot to pull his rickshaw. Amazing as it is, I fear for the future developement of robots!

In this image, a robot rolls its way across a path while showing an apartment. This would typically be a human job but advances in technology have made this possible. It's amazing and frightening at the same time.

Robots are everywhere. This robot is a Navy operated robot! It has found a claymore land mine. It's the military robots that are especially dangerous in my mind. Some of them are built with guns, grenades and mines. What if the electronics in that robot were to go haywire? What if that robot developed true artificial intelligence and rampaged through a town?!

Robots are awesome and cool for the moment, but do you fear for a future similar to The Matrix or I, Robot?
