Yesterday
we posted the greatest painting ever made. It was spectacular. But it was in the comments section that things really got interesting.
PrincessPatriotII stated that she just knew someone was going to say, "Poor sharks, everyone's always killing them." Many of the comments following this picked up on this and added that line to whatever comment they were making.
I see an opportunity in this. What do you say Mancouch? Let's make a meme!
Internet memes generally start out simply enough. And this is a statement that is just random and absurd enough to catch on.
So I'm issuing each and everyone of you with a sacred mission. Go forth to ye facebooks and ye twitters and the like and post "Poor sharks, everyone's always killing them" as your status/post. Someone create a tumblr featuring pictures like the one above or of the San Jose Sharks for funnies and write "Poor sharks, everyone's always killing them" on said pictures. Somebody alert the 4chan (but not too soon, we don't know what those people will do to those poor poor sharks)!
If we work together I know we can spread this meme to the far corners of the interwebs and then it will even have spinoffs. Spinoffs where people replace shark with various other sea creatures/pop culture figures. I know we can do this, Mancouch. Let's get the word out!
Poor sharks, everyone's always killing them. (as CrimsonxIllusion said, it's the ocean's number one hate crime).

Rofl.
It is true, though. Those poor little guys get so much hate. It's not their fault they're vicious man killers. I mean, people keep alligators as pets sometimes. We eat sharks more than they eat us. Just think of it this way. They're like that one dog at the pound everyone says needs to be put down. Aggression problem this, bad tempered that. They're just.. over sized fluffy piranhas.
I don't understand why people keep hating on my favorite animal of all time, the great white.
My day has been made.
You can't force memes.
hahaha damn funny but true at the same time
Twitter'd. Because I'm one to follow trends off a bridge (and into shark infested waters).
inb4 personal army.
Sharks are a threat to humans? True, but the fear is disproportionately placed when one considers that humans are far greater threat to sharks than sharks are to humans. More people die from drowning and lightning strikes than by shark attacks, as far as beach fatalities are concerned.
The truth is that sharks are increasingly becoming endangered due to them being caught in fishing nets, game hunting, and the shark fin industry (which is a lucrative business).
YES
Hello, you must be new to the internet.
If you say "let's make a meme", it won't become one. Once someone utters those words, it dies and further implication of said "meme" will become forced.
@Red_Apocalypse_Horse@xanga - maybe there are so few shark accidents BECAUSE they are so feared
forced meme is forced
@PervyPenguin@xanga -
Gonna have to agree with the Perv here.
Shark fin soup. yummmayy!
@melandollic@xanga - Great white's got nothing on Megalodon.
Its my facebook status.
the shark's beady eyes are cute
shark murderers are evil.
Not your personal army
@Sixtyfootshark - Nah the Megalodon can suck a dick. I love the great white for more than just its size.
@tykazowsky@xanga - No it's actually just because sharks don't bother to attack humans that often.
I like how you make a joke out of killing sharks.
Hi read my book on the thinking shark"Charlie the Shark"
( published by Raider International)SadaboyHow am I just now finding out about this?
Poor bloggers, people are always hating their meme forcing...
