I'm a huge fan of Top Chef and Padma shows absolutely no experience in culinary arts, why do you think I don't believe you when you say she can cook? Haven't you ever heard of a ghost writer? Most celebs that write books have one and no, they dont get credit for it.. they just get a fat paycheck so no one cares.

@Nellie0x@xanga - Oy vey. I'm too tired to keep going back and forth. It's not like we're talking about writing physics books - you really think she can't cook? Or put 150 recipes down? Your theory's sooo wrong, because just the fact that she's been on cooking shows for years means that she knows how to cook - how can you not know how to cook from being in an environment like that? I watch Top Chef, and I already learned a lot from that...Put aside the fact that you think she didn't write her cook books, she has also been on The Food Network, Planet Food, etc. and is considered a food expert. As I said, I watch Top Chef too, and she does more than just nod and agree with everyone. And they have special judges come on the show [besides her, Tom C., Gail Simmons and Toby Young] because they need to have unbiased opinions and judging - other competitive reality shows have had problems with the fact that in their judging panels, it was always the same people which could create favoritism...so it's been the trend to throw in a random - just as qualified but random - person in the judging panel, especially when Top Chef uses those judge's restaurant, or they're the ones who give the challenge. You think she can't cook? Fiiiiiiiine. But don't ignore the fact that besides those cookbooks which you think she didn't write, she does have other qualifications and does judge on the show. And she's not even that pretty.
