Resposibilities like kids, motgage, car insurance, pets, home repairs, car repairs, bills and staying sane throught the whole ordeal!
Mortgage lol
It means we can eat all the cookies in the world before dinner time!
that is so freaking cute!
being an adult means following the rules you make for yourself, even when you don't want to.
It looks like my sister wrote & drew that cartoon... Weird.
But cool.
what are your guidelines for posts...just anything? as long as it's by a man, or a woman, or if it's about men...or women? i wish i had this gig, i'm stuck staring at cake/delicious food all day while also having nothing to eat :/
Seriously Mancouch?
getting your priorities right
To be an adult is the realization that there is always more to learn, and that we don't stop growing up until the day we die.
It is learning that one cannot become mature without first being immature.
It is getting out of bed in the morning regardless of how crappy you feel, because you have responsibilities and the world will not pause for your personal inconveniences.
It is stopping to look at the world around you and taking in the fact that being alive in this moment is a gift.
It is shaking your booty to the Spongebob Squarepants theme song to make your kids smile, but never admitting that you believe it qualifies as your daily workout.
It is facing the tears that come with a bad day and a few martinis, and realizing that you have to be strong enough to be your own hero.
It is missing your favorite TV show because you have bills to write out and a checkbook to balance.
It is learning that being an adult isn't always about being grown up; and that without our hilarious, often brainless, and quite regressive occurences and encounters we'd end up on our deathbeds one day thinking of nothing more than what we missed out on.
And above all, it is realizing that there is always more to add to the list of what it means to be an adult.
Responsibility, making your own decisions, and being on your own.
to feel like a ewborn baby.
ok so that was pretty sweet.
I guess maturity. It depends on the person ultimately.
Pffft I don't know! (And I suspect I never will). :P
I believe that the term adult is pretty subjective. When you're happy with who you are and you can be on your own, you can make decisions and be confident with them...you are being a grown up!
Giving up on life and watching every second your life drift away so you decide that the only way you can get happiness is through filling your empty soul with shit you dont need. Or Watching your ungrateful children grow up into you but only more bitter. Or You're a slave to money and then you die.
Something along those lines...I've been watching too much Fight Club....
For me to even consider someone being an adult, they'd have to be over 18, anything under is teenager and really immature.
Being responsible, honest and having your priorities/morals and values straight.
Making choices without being completely influenced by others, and living in reality ; knowing what can come out of decisions and making the best choices for the future.
You become an adolescent when you realize your parents aren't perfect. You become an adult when you forgive them.
it means your heart dies.
It means to be independent.
@Khushboo@xanga - Yeah! Or blowing bubbles in your milk until it overflows!
*ding dong* say goodbye to fun. say goodbye to an actual life and helloooo to reality. FML

@dianchik_icons@xanga While Fight Club does kick ass, here's a dose of optimism for you: Life sucks. Quite often. And you will rise above just to fall again. The point is, you rise, and that's why life is worth living :)
@Rachies_Icons@xanga The innocence in our hearts never truly dies; it's what makes us do immature, niave things, and it often doesn't turn out well . . . but deep down, we all still hope that it will, which means your heart is still alive.
the playpen room looks like fun. I want to 'swim' in that room being an adult is knowing when to be serious and when to have fun. who says I can't dive in the chuck e cheese or mcdonald's playpen kids aren't the only ones who can have silly fun
@Shattered_Reflection13@xanga - and I agree, definitely, but Im kind of generalizing there, since I am with 17 year olds all day lol.
