No Pants Day In New York City
This is a guest post from Just A Guy Thing.
If you happened to be in New York City on Sunday you might have noticed a lot of people walking around without their pants on. That’s because it was NYC’s ninth-annual No Pants Day.
Men and women sans pants descended upon the subway systems of New York and other major cities as part of the annual event organized by the group Improv Everywhere.
The group said the event went off without a hitch and that about 3,000 people participated. Riders met at points around the city and converged on Union Square. This all happened while the high temperature for the day was 28 degrees!
There were simultaneous No Pants rides in 43 other cities around the world in 16 countries.
While there isn’t video available yet from this year’s ride, here’s a vid from the No Pants ride in 2008 to give you a sense of what you missed:

A whole bunch of my guy friends from high school participated in Dallas on the DART buses... Including my ex boyfriend... They ended up being photographed and written about all over the online news...

That is...hilarious. Brilliant
I was planning on going, but I had a doctor's appointment. :T
Looks like fun, but I'd have trouble deciding what underwear to wear...
Lol, this is such a ridiculous thing to do. I really don't understand the point of it. :/
Also, I heard that (at least this year, I dunno about the other years) people were given indecent exposure tickets.
@tracezilla@lovelyish - Nah, if you watch the videos they were all fine. Police escorts, even. It's only decent exposure if the genitals are revealed. Otherwise, underwear are even less revealing than a bikini, and there's nothing legally wrong with that. It just seems out of place in winter. :) Improv Everywhere started this.
@raedium@xanga - Actually, indecent exposure laws do include underwear and even things like nightgowns, because I've known people who've gotten ticketed for going to Wal-Mart in their pajamas for something really quick.
But, I'm glad that nobody got a ticket on this event. :)
@tracezilla@lovelyish - I'd fight that. That's nuts. >__< Talk about 'freedoms'. If you're goods aren't showing, they aren't showing, and that's that.
@tracezilla@lovelyish - Your* >_> grammar nazi and it won't let me edit. Lol
@raedium@xanga - I know, right? :p
Love the elderly lady's expression at the end of the clip
I want to participate in No Pants Day!!
