More US States Allow Marriage Between First Cousins Than Gay Marriage
I think for the most part, this speaks for itself.

...
I'm going to go punch a wall now.
That's a tad bit awkward. Some churches Christians, I tell ya. ♥
Wow. That's just.... O_o
GOOD POINT. It's completely gross, first cousin marriage? Ugh inbreeding.
wow seriously? marrying your first cousin can technically be considered incest.
and not only is that a cardinal social taboo (sorry, i'm reading hamlet in class), but it also poses major health risks to the children who were conceived by a related couple. i'm talking major birth defects.
nothing wrong with gay marriage though. stupid state legislature. -____-
That is brilliant.
Awesome.
I love how all of those states are colored blue in the chart. Is that a shot?
Hooray for religiously based bigotry and hatred! (not to mention a fat load of hypocrisy).
I knew Missouri wasn't one of the states that allowed marriage between first cousins! Ha! Tina, I was right back in 9th grade!! Its the SECOND cousins, damn it! Second cousins are legal! :P
And of couse the majority is in the Southern belt. Ugh. And this is why people say that people from the south are intolerant hillbillies who marry their cousins.
First cousin marriage is disgusting. At least with gay marriage they're marrying someone who was a stranger that they soon got to know and fell in love with.
*sigh* people these days...
WTF IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE?!

I'm disappointed in you, Illinois. =_=
Hooray, I can marry my cousin*
*as long as my cousin is female.
Actually, first cousin marriage isn't really that big of a deal.
The chances of having a birth defect in first cousin marriage is the exact same as having a child with the mother older than 40.
Oh, I just love conservatives and flocks of religiously brain-dead sheep. Don't you?
@Rob_of_the_Sky@xanga - hahaha, nice note ;)
Honestly, the legal definition of marriage is crap. Any 2 people should be able to marry. Period. If people dont like it for religious reasons, I agree that there is an issue because marriage is one of those things that church and state dont separate. So make marriage religious only and call it something else for legal purposes.
And that map is somewhat misleading. At least for the state of Indiana, special permission still has to be granted for first cousins to marry.
lol firts cousins...thats so gross, people are weird -.-
