Uganda Voting On Homosexuality Execution Law Inspired By American Evangelicals
It's really really sad that you're likely first hearing about this here. But you know, Tiger Woods slept around so ... no need to learn about the possible slaughter of innocent people in Uganda largely due to American conservatives. Cable news is generally the worst place on earth to ever learn anything, but Rachel Maddow actually does a pretty bang-up job of summing it up here.
If that bill passes, there will be blood on the hands of every conservative politician and pastor who went to Uganda to speak of the evils of homosexuality. This is a dire situation and major blow to world wide human rights. This is life an death for so many. Please let people know about this. If our country's fourth estate cannot live up to it's sacred duty, then we must do it for them.

Wow......I'm truly speechless. This is a HUGE step backwards. I can't believe there are actually people who think that abstinence only education works, even in this day and age. If this bill passes every religious republican who encouraged this will be responsible for murder. WOW I fucking hate republicans. I'm so glad I'm not American.

This bill enrages me. I don't see how ANYONE who's Christian can condone the actual execution of those who are homosexual. I guess straight privilege blinds you from actually practicing the love and tolerance Christ taught.

This is hardly the first place anyone is hearing this, it has been mentioned on Xanga many times, in fact Rhiannonator beat you to this by about two weeks. Aside from that, because someone speaks of their beliefs about homosexuality, that does not mean they support killing gay people. There is no evidence that any of these people support this policy in Uganda, it is nothing except liberal, homosexual propaganda tying them to the policy because they are members of the same "club". This is the type of blatantly bigoted, anti-Christian, fascist crap that makes me laugh at people like you. You are so smug and full of yourself in your supposed intelligence (I mean, just ask you how smart you are) and superiority, that you are hardly capable of comprehending basic logic. In this case, one thing does not, by it's nature, lead to another. But your hatred of Christians blinds you to any logic, right? I laugh at you, but then I feel sorry for you. You are so sad.

The REAL issue here is that republican evangalists went to Uganda to preach about the evils of homosexuality (and YOU'RE talking about propaganda?? Your inability to look beyond your own nose truly astounds me) and now that there is a proposed bill supporting the MURDER of homosexuals, none of the republican senators have any answer. The real issue here is if these senators don't support it, then they need to try to stop it, because they are obviously the ones who planted the seeds. Once again, Americans interfered with something that wasn't their business, so now they must interfere again to fix it. This is about having a little bit of ACCOUNTABILITY for your actions (wow what a novel idea), which apparently republicans have no idea about. They are all about imposing their ideas on everyone else, and then when something bad results from it, pretending they had nothing to do with it.

I mentioned that "this is hardly the first place anyone is hearing this..." I neglected to take into account the average IQ and awareness of the typical Mancouch reader so I take that back. This could well indeed be the first most of you have heard of this as most of you probabably are aware of little beyond fart jokes and breasts.
@Coke0@xanga - Preach. People shouldn't be complaining about this faux anti-Christian sentiment when this is a real issue of actually legalizing homophobia and violence against gays. The bill is a violation of human rights and we should be focusing on that. I guess I must be a bad Christian though. My persecution complex doesn't seem to be working.

There is no evidence. This is made up hysteria that exists to attack Christians. I mean really, why should Christians be expected to come out publicly against killing gays? Really? Since Stalin was an atheist, I would like atheists to all come out and publicly condemn killing...everyone. See the ridiculous nature of this entire fabricated outrage? Where has the outrage on Mancouch and elsewhere been when African dictators were slaughtering millions of people regardless of sexual orientation? I guess I'm being attacked as well. Except I'm not because this is specifically targeting socially conservative "Christians" who are willing to do everything to make anyone who isn't heterosexual suffer for something they cannot control. Christians aren't being attacked here because "Christians" are actually doing the attacking. Also, unless Stalin was killing people while using his atheism as justification, your argument makes no sense. He killed people because he was a horrible, power hungry human being, not because he was an atheist. The Family, however, are justifying the murder of their fellow man using Christianity to back them up. Sane Christians SHOULD come out against this. Everyone should come out against this.

Props to Mancouch for bringing this to our attention. I cannot believe how hypocritical conservatives and/or Christians can be. I'm not saying that every conservative or Christian is, but the fact that these politicians [that are both conservative and Christian] can so publicly preach about abstinence and the evils of homosexuality, then look the other way when they're getting what they secretly want--execution for those who are or are related to homosexuals--is absolutely disgusting.
Such a thing would never be considered here in America, but since it's in another country on another continent, it's all of a sudden "not their problem." Those are the people that that don't deserve to live. Those are the people that give Christians the bad rep. If God wants everyone to love each other, why the hell would he exclude gays? Honestly. Christians twist the words of the Bible to their advantage in their situation. It's vomit-inducing.
Everyone has the choice to live as they want, so long as the lives of others aren't affected negatively. Why should homosexuals be executed for a disease that any heterosexual could carry? The people who should be executed are murderers, terrorists, and criminals.Don't pay any attention to scrambledmegsandtoast. She's your everyday average Catholic cunt.
