This is a question, much like "if you could suck yourself off, would you?", that has plagued mankind since the beginning of time.
Everyone has gotten a handy at some time or another, but is it really worth it?
The one side says that you're getting something from some one else
The other side says that you can do it yourself and you can do it better. So why bother putting up with some one else's nonsense?
And hell, if you give yourself a stranger it feels like some one else anyway .... erm ... at least that's what they tell me.
