Dock Ellis Recounts Pitching A No Hitter On LSD
For those of you who are unaware of your history, we're about to give you a little lesson. Dock Ellis, a major league baseball pitcher in the 70s, made the history books on June 12, 1970 when he pitched a no-hitter while tripping on LSD. A no-hitter. Something that in the entire history of baseball has only been done 236 times. And he did it on LSD.
Let's put this another way. God Hates Mets Fans. We all know this. No pitcher has ever pitched a no-hitter for the Mets. So Dock Ellis pitched a better game than any Mets pitcher ever has while on LSD. This is a momentous occasion in the history of baseball and psychadelica. Here's a cartoon depicting Dock's day as recounted by himself in a radio interview.
And just as a side note: on a batting line-up Dock would be listed as Ellis, D.
Frankly, I have no idea what to ask you. Just make comments, please.

Singer/Songwriter Todd Snider has a song about this whole Doc Ellis LSD incident. Here's the link for the Youtube video of him performing the song.
