Wale ft. Lady Gaga - Chillin
In honor of my hometown, DC, I just had to include this video from Wale. Now, I'm no fan of Lady Gaga, but how can I say no to any video that features Ben's Chili Bowl as prominently as this video does. Anyway, check it out:

He says "MIA" in the song, and ever since then, I couldn't help but think M.I.A. would've been a better female vocalist for this song.
Still, thumbs up. Pardon me while I go buy this on iTunes.
I don't really care about the video, but I like the song.

As a PG County resident, I want to love Wale, but Lady Gaga ruins this particular song. Her obvious M.I.A. imitation is laughable. My bb Maya is too fly for that shit and she doesn't need some try hard like Gaga trying to imitate her. [/M.I.A. fangirl]

then again... to be honest, it's kind of annoying.
This song is real old news, but nonetheless good. I love Wale, he is one of the only new rappers that I will listen to (usually I stick to older stuff e.g. Wu-tang and the solos from that, Common, etc).
@methodElevated@xanga - I agree that MIA would have been better, but you want to work with whoever the hot artist of the time is. At that point, it was Lady Gaga (much to my dismay). Wale did a cover of MIAs "Boyz" which is pretty tight. He just kind of rapped over the existing beat, which is fine since you really do not have to mess with it too much, it is already pretty dancey.

Total waste of four minutes. The guys from Steam would be rolling in their graves to hear the way they butchered their song. I can just see Paul, Garrett and Dale shaking their heads and saying WTF??? The video is so stereotypical it is laughable. The little blonde puppet dancing in the hand of Wale? Gues she makes a pretty prize, huh? did you see the token white guy at 1:00 in the video, sticks out like a snowball in a coal bin...the shots in front of Ben's Chili Bowl talking about hiding from the cops, etc....the whole thing is a giant stereotype, none of which does anyone any good. Fail.

Thumbs up. :) I like Lady Gaga, and even without her I would've liked this song even though I generally don't like these kinds. :p I just thought it sounded great. :)
