I Envy Women Sometimes

i_r_keiko introduced me to a double standard that favors women. It's because of this that I admit how jealous of women I really am.
In my sorta kinda maybe infamous and continuously viewed and recommended post named "Your Friend's Human Body" she said "I once had a group of friends where we could be and sometimes were nude around each other without qualms or sexual tension, and it is a very free feeling. But it's definitely not something you can just bring up with any ol' posse. 'Hey guys...we've got nothing better to do...so how about we, uh...GIT BUTT NEKKID!'"
I really envy that a couple of girls can get together in clothes or without it, and can be completely comfortable about it. Men don't like dressing in front of each other, for fear that someone might seem gay. Face it, men don't want to see anyone's ding dong, but their own, while women are very comfortable with their bodies, and can openly acknowledge the beauty of another woman's body, without ever bringing their sexuality into question.
Roxics openly disagreed and told me it was all about the setting and who is involved. "If you're in the gym locker room and your buddy drops his pants, it's a lot different [than] if he's in your bedroom with you and changing." Admittedly, that is true. If you've ever in a men's locker room, you've seen some men letting it all hang out with no qualms whatsoever. Even I walked around naked after swimming. I was amazed at how liberating it was and how little we cared about the fact that we were as bare as a piece of paper.
But then there's this: some women can lick another woman's breast and be fine with it. It doesn't even mean they're lesbians. They could just be having fun and a laugh. That can't happen with a man. No man will ever be fine letting another man lightly lick his twig and berries or nipples as a joke. Ever!
By this definition, I can pretty much say that I envy the relationship and the comfort some women have with each other, as opposed to us.
Do you think guys should get nekkid around other guys?

I don't think men can handle it.
I'm a lesbian and I get naked with my straight girl friends all the time. They don't even mind if I check them out either. It's awesome.
I feel bad for men D: Not being able to be naked around eachother.
Try getting a period once a month. Yes, I agree women can get away with more while men can get branded names they don't want associated with them. I don't find men being intimate with other men wrong. It's the dudes that try and try so hard to act tough that I am worried about. There is a double standard.
My friends, including my guy friends always went streaking w/me. Sounds like you need to get some hot crazy female friends.

Boo. Do what you want and maybe society will be forced to abandon its antiquated notions of masculinity. I think women are allowed to do this though because their sexuality isn't taken as seriously so being naked around each other won't compromise anything even though there's nothing wrong with being not straight. No, really. Nothing wrong. Whatsoever.
On a related note, even though I am a woman, I personally don't like being naked around my fellow womenfolk and I expect them to be fully clothed when around me as well. The human body just looks weird to me. It looks better with clothes on.
I envy that too. Guess I'm just a defective woman, I lack that sort of comfort. I've definitely seen it though.

haha don't worry, i think there are a whole slew of double standards that are in YOUR favour as a man. I don't think you should be envious of us just because we can be naked around each other without being called names. And I'm not that comfy with my body, so its not all women who are ok with that. I'd prefer that my friends keep their clothes on around me unless we're getting ready to go out or something.
I do think guys should, simply to let loose and be more comfortable.
I think the fear stems from their own insecurity in term of their masculinity and homophobia: if I let a dude lick me, then it appears I'm gay.

If I had some close girl friends who were into this kind of stuff, I would like to do it. I love being naked. I don't think my boyfriend would like me doing that, because I'm bi. Like most boys would love their girlfriends making out with another girl, he's just worried I'll get feelings for the person. Hahah.
I love female bodies. They're so interesting and awesome.
I don't know any women that can be comfortable naked around each other, but I don't think I would be comfortable at all.
There are men out there who are nudists and enjoy being naked around people. If guys want to get naked around other guys it's really up to them.

Not all women are comfortable with it really, and I don't know why you would want to find yourself in that sort of situation.
@journalofsparkles@xanga - I guess for me it is a matter of freedom. Heck, some women shed their insecurities, because they can maintain a sort of fun atmosphere without each other wondering whether they are lesbian. There are girls I saw who did that, and I went "what the...?" Men will never have that connection, because of the gay insecurities.

why not? women do it all the time and women are more judgmental than men are.
I think it's a little weird that you envy this. Do you want to "lightly lick his twig and berries or nipples"? Because it definitely sounds like it. If you're gay, that's totally cool and then this post would make a lot more sense, but if not.....I don't really get it.

i don't envy the relationship that women have with each other AT ALL
men would never be catty to each other... i see so many examples of girl on girl hatred for no apparent reason.
Although it may seem like girls are comfortable with one another, i believe that deep inside, every girl hates each other. Correct me if i'm wrong but girls never seem to have a deep bond or camaraderie with one another. Sure, they might be all cutesy and hug and giggle and snuggle together, but can be at each other's throats at the turn of a dime.
(and also as a sidenote, the extreme homophobic tendencies of guys being horrified to be nude in front of each other might just be purely an American thing... )
