Johnny Cash + Ray Charles = Happy
This is something I found late one night while surfing the ol' internets. I was in a particularly nasty mood at the time and I stumbled across this beautiful video. In complete honesty and with utter sincerity, I want to explain to you that I was feeling absolutely wretched and despondent and watching this video made me feel like everything was going to be alright. It was therapeutic. This video has deep personal meaning for me for that very reason. There is a joy and a calm that wafts through me every single time I watch it regardless of how many time I watch it. I only wish I could find words beautiful enough to properly capture precisely what occurs when you watch Ray Charles sing "Ring of Fire." Just watch it and try to tell me that it doesn't dissolve the wild storms of your day.
I guess I should ask a question here, but this video means too much to me for some silly multiple choice. Just do me a favor, if you do watch this video, share how it made you feel in the comments. Let's see if this can't bring us all together a little bit more.

Oh, wow. I love how Ray Charles' took the song and just made it his own. :)
"Ring of Fire" is my favorite country song. This + watching Ray Charles sing is pure joy.
Amazing.
ah! this was great.
@ShimmerBodyCream@xanga - This is shit. I vote we hear YOU song.
I loved it!
I still like it better when Johnny Cash sings it though.
love ray charles! great great great song!
I give credit to Johnny Cash for moving away from mainstream music at the time and singing about dark subjects like hell and suicide. Probably the only good "country" artist
I remember falling into a burning ring of fire, they're right when they say it burns.
Great version but nothing'll ever take the place of country music.
Your title says it all
.
You know lyrics are amazing when they can be presented in so many ways and be just as effective.
Holy crap. I like Johnny Cash and I love Ray Charles... this is fantastic. I'll even go so far as to say that I like this version better (mostly because I'm a sucker for soul).

@KimisBarbie@xanga - I agree :(
Watching this clip helps me remember how good of a job Jamie Foxx did emulating his... everything.
