  • Race, Sex, Sexual Orientation, And Abortion

Controversy is just more fun. So I decided to hit on a few controversial topics all in one! Sound like fun? I thought so. Who is really interested in the blogs about soft, shallow topics anyway? You opened this blog because the title caught your eye, right? That's what I thought.

First Topic: Gay or Straight. Ever wonder if people are really gay or not, personally I think it totally depends on the sex and the age of a person. Of course some people claim to have been born gay, which sure...you can feel whatever you want. I won't judge that. But what about teenage girls who are like fifteen years old? They have one bad experience with boy and oh! She's suddenly gay, done with guys! She's a “lesbian!” Really? Don't all of us girls do some experimenting at one point in our lives or the other? We've all toyed around with the idea of being with a girl, because we're curious, not because we're actually gay.

Second Topic: The Race Card. Eeep! I said it! The race card. You know what I hate? When you say anything against Obama that you are automatically classified as a racist. Really people? Not everyone is as shallow as you are. Have you, being a black person, ever been to a restaurant and complained to your white waitress? Well, you are just as much of a racists as the next guy apparently!

Third Topic: Sex. You can only have sex if you are in love. If not, your life will be marred and broken because of all of the emotional scars, not to mention physical ones...like STD's. Right? Wrong! I've been having sex since I was 16. Like most girls do, I had my slut phase riddled with random people, one night stands, and even a few girls...and guess what?! I'm STD free and I always have been, years later I'm married now to an amazing guy who I love, and all I can do is look back at those days with a, “Hey, I was a kid having fun.” outlook. Its all good, why let your past be a bad thing if you can just chill out and know that living is a part of life.

Forth Topic: Abortion. Pro choice? For or against? I believe that the mother should be allowed to make her own decisions. Personally I would never allow myself to have an abortion if it was after the first trimester, but that's just me. I know some women who wouldn't even take the Plan B (Morning After Pill), because they feel like that is abortion. I've never had a problem with that. What are you thoughts?

I could go on and on...

There are so many juicy topics, but I just wanted to touch on a few here today as to avoid a seventeen page long composition.

What are you favorite controversial topics?

My favorite controversial topic is "medicalized" male genital mutilation. I preach proud and loud against it on my blog, in my everyday life, and everywhere I get the chance.

  • B2yan_C@xanga

The women who refuse to take Plan B because they believe it is abortion are MORONS. Preventing implantation means there is nothing to abort...

And sex is cool and fun, as long as the proper education about it is covered somehow. I believe that the idiots who are out there having sex without the knowledge or resources to handle the consequences are most certainly a good part of why we have so many underprivileged children who deserve better upbringings.

  • soyeahthatswhathappened@xanga

honestly i think your outlook on sex is kinda fucked.

i agree with you for the most part though.

  • snapeful@xanga

    The run-on sentences... *cringe*

The lack of direction in the post... *shudder*

The fact that this is on mancouch... *facepalm*

  • LauraG0929@xanga

@B2yan_C@xanga - True, true. Have you ever noticed that it is generally the screwed up people that crank out the most kids? It seems to be the ones who want kids that have a hard time making them... Weird.

Controversial topics can be amusing as a healthy debate is good once in a while; however, some people are idiotic idiots from Idiotville that don't seem to realize they are idiots and are therefore allergic to logic. That said, I do like arguing about immigration though. ~Spicy~ Latina here after all.

Also, the phenomenon you described with women and sex in number one is known as erotic plasticity. Women are more likely to experiment or be variable in their sexual behaviors and preferences than men. This could be due to socialization though in which women's sexuality isn't taken as seriously therefore it is OK for them to experiment. [/psych major]

Also, LOL@white people complaining about this imaginary "Race Card". L. O. L.

@soyeahthatswhathappened@xanga - I can't say her outlook is fucked. I'm 20 yrs old, had eight partners, was safe with all of them, and guess what? No regrets. My outlook on pre-marital sex- Does it put you at a greater risk for STD's and all that? Sure, but riding a rollercoaster increases your risk of death as opposed to not riding it. To make it safer, people inspect the ride (have check ups) and make repairs and build preventative measures (wear condoms/take birth control). As long as you're mature and smart about it, it's safe and fun.

@snapeful@xanga - You can blame her for the poor grammar and the choice of venue, but as far as direction, maybe she's a first time or relatively new poster. You get better with it as it goes. God knows the first thing or two I posted on sites weren't good.

@salvatruca_stalking_havok13@xanga - Nice explanation on sex. Though, I can't see how you can say the "race card" is fake. Perhaps we have different ideas of what it is.

Most Canadians are whores. No Surprise.

I wonder what it's like to be with a girl too.

  • michaelealy514@thepopsite

    1. Sexuality is such a gray area. I don't think it's write to say that it is only genetic or only environmental. Maybe with further research it'll be understood?
    2. I think there's a lot of truth to what you're saying but a lot of people do not understand why black people are more defensive than white people. A lot of people call it unfair and hypocritical. " Why is that they can make fun of us but we can't make fun of them?" is the question I hear SOOOO many times! What they're forgetting is the way it was 400 years ago, with blacks being of lesser value and not treated as fairly as white people. Of course HUGE things changed and they were granted equality several decades ago, but do you really think that they(African- Americans) would adjust that easily?
Think about this: what do bullies, or just plain anybody, do when they are insecure? They make fun of or tease to make themselves feel better. In history, what do white people have to be ashamed/insecure about? They have always been superior. Black people have 400 years to be insecure about.
    Just saying.
I get what you're saying about the Obama thing, though.
    3. You may have had a sex life with random people several times, but it doesn't prove that it's "safe" to go out there and do what you did, because to me, you just sound lucky. You just HAPPENED not to get STD's or aids, but it's sooo likely that someone does the same thing and gets it! Which would leave them marred and/or broken. Sex is different for everyone. Some might be emotionally ready at 16,17, and some might put more importance on it and want to wait until marriage. It's different for everyone.
    4. Yeah I feel pretty much the same as you. I think it should be a choice but shouldn't be allowed after the first trimester. And, really, how can people use birth control and not be pro-choice? It's basically the same thing; you're preventing a child from being born.

  • snapeful@xanga

@mcmeister89 - She's old enough to get married; she's old enough to have been through school. Blogs are like essays; you start with a topic, you get familiar with it, and you tell us the point of it. But if you're writing about puppies and makeup for a men's health magazine, it's not likely to be accepted unless the guys are high, don't you think?

  • LauraG0929@xanga

@ShimmerBodyCream@xanga -  Wow, really? I didn't know that you could generalize an entire country like that. Impressive, lol. It doesn't hurt my feelings, I'm not a kid anymore.

  • snapeful@xanga

@LauraG0929@xanga - I read it. It wasn't original and it wasn't eye catching. It wasn't thought provoking either. If you think you can pull the race card effectively on an American born person who's majoring in English and think your entry was without mistake, clearly you're the one who doesn't understand English as well as you might think. Your post had a lack of purpose. It was on your personal blog; I don't care about that. But it was submitted to Mancouch under the impression that it would turn heads? You'd have done better and gotten better criticism had you submitted it to Lovelyish instead, or perhaps Datingish. The female oriented topics aren't fit for "man" couch.

  • LauraG0929@xanga

@snapeful@xanga - You think I'm pulling the race card on you now?

Lol, wow...people will pull anything out of their asses.

  • xjadersx@xanga

    1. I don't care about sexual orientation. If someone is gay... cool. I believe that I like both sexes. Haven't had a chance to try things with a girl. But it's just a feeling.

    2. Race. Doesn't matter to me either. It's the personality that matters.

    3. Sex. It's better with someone you love, and care for. I've only have sex with two people. Started when I was 16. Had gone out with the person for a 1.5 years before we had sex. I really cared for him, and I still do but in a different way. We're still friends and there's nothing to regret. The guy I'm with now, we had gone out for 3 months and had sex. We're still together after 2.5 years.

    4. I have nothing against abortion if it's before 3 months at the most.

  • xjadersx@xanga
  • snapeful@xanga

@LauraG0929@xanga - Yeah, I know it's definitely true that you can't see the obvious Asian genes from my profile picture. People do pull anything out of their asses to avoid rebuttal against an argument that they cannot counter. Which is completely clear, considering you did not even try to respond to my other points.

  • snapeful@xanga

@LauraG0929@xanga - Oh, I wasn't shoving it down your throat. You're the one who included it in your blog. I also thought it was funny that you thought I did not understand English well, as I said already, my grammar and English skills are superior to yours. I picked at your blog because of its imperfect grammar and writing style. Yet you are the one defending yourself against me. I was making light comments; yet you're the one throwing insults. I might also note that your improper use of "who's" (the contraction form means "who is" and "who is opinion" does not follow) shows your defensiveness against your poor grammar. You justify yourself by saying that "xanga" is something not worth arguing over, yet you post a controversial post that you expect people to read and nod their heads and contribute. That contradictory statement is in of itself rather funny. It's rather obvious you are unskilled in debate, and we'll leave it at that. If you'd still like to explain yourself further, feel free to do so.

  • ShimmerBodyCream@xanga

@LauraG0929@xanga - Yes, sluts aren't children. They just have dirty vaginas.

  • ShimmerBodyCream@xanga

@LauraG0929@xanga - just because you are married to an asian doesn't mean you can't be racist. You lack writing skills and logic skills, dumbass.

  • StylishMudd@xanga
  • LauraG0929@xanga

@StylishMudd@xanga - I didn't title it, Mancouch did, just btw.

  • MartialArtistVega@xanga

gay or straight: well, personally im straight. straight as can be! Im straight like an arrow. Now i have some friends who are as straight as a bowling ball. I dont judge based on sexual orientation. i wouldnt want someone to judge me over the fact i love Nissan Cars, or Martial Arts over boxing. Everyone ticks a different way.

race: well, i for one am not against anyone in particular. i love all people. now, i may throw out the "N" (dont want to offend ignorance)  word...but its not directed at just black people. I use it for white people and all sorts of people. look it up in the dictionary: it says "ignorant; trashy person" now, i do have a problem with mexicans, not mexican americans..i mean the ones that have the nerve to jump, swim, hike, poof, climb, crawl the border..they come here take away jobs and help people become cheap asses, and suck up our benefits. and if they have a kid here, its automatically a citizen. thats not right. a while back, a bus was expediting mexicans back to the border, the bus broke down, the driver was told to let them free....so they didnt go any where but back here to suck us dry. As for Obama remarks, isnt he like 1/16th black or something? hes not even black...hes muslim...or something thats not american. Anyways, i dont hate on the guy...unless he pulls a hitler....im not saying he will nor do i believe it, but ive got enough weaponry to keep any communists bastards out of my home. Besides Carlos Mencia said it best, when someone tells you, "Youre racist" over an Obama remark. Look at them and say this "look here bitch, over 70% of the voters in US are white, so my people put your "black" president in, so back off bitch!"

Sex: Well, lts face it..people have sex. Lots of people do it. Loads of people buy sex toys for stimulation. Lots of people masturbate due to wanting sex more often than not. So, anyways have sex with whoever. get your fun out before you settle, or it makes you wonder later in life.

Abortion: Pro-Choice, it is a womans choice on whether on not to keep the baby. I mean, im for pro-choice, being told what to do with your body is another step towards communism.
