I hate election season, I call it the most un-wonderful time of the year. I live here in Ohio and the BIG issue is Issue 3 for casinos. I am so tired of hearing the good, the bad and the ugly. I don't care if its a good deal or a bad deal for Ohio. I don't gamble, I don't feel its right but I really don't want you telling me what I should think and what I should vote.
That and there are those ads that make no sense. You have no idea what in the world they're talking about. Maybe I'm sheltered because (a) I have no cable, just antenna and (b) we don't get the newspaper but I really am tired of the poo flinging political bloodbath that occurs around election season.
And those solicitors for different people for counsel and stuff, they need to stop. Nobody cares, seriously. You put on your happy face, pose your perfect family, and show how much you really care. Its all the same.
I'm sorry, but if you want to persuade me look real. Not like "I put on my Prada suit and I caked on so much makeup you can't tell who I am, and then I got these really cool fake woods background at the Olan Mills photo studio inside my local Super K-Mart!"
Yeah ... I am cynical, but I am soooo ready for the election season to be over with so I can watch my boring incontinence commercials and get my mail with the usual junk ads for a new cell phone which I don't need and don't want.
It's just one of those things that makes my skin crawl ... election season ... just get over yourself, vote what you believe is right, not what the people who make the money, make the ads, and do all the political campaigning think you should vote. Let the political bloodbath begin!
Do you hate election season?

Hasn't bothered me. I haven't watched TV regularly in 2 months, haven't gotten anything in the mail, haven't heard anything on the radio... politics suck, but the only time I get my panties in a bunch about it is during the presidential election, because the race begins 2 years prior to the election and from then on you can't get away from it.
i'm not much of a politics buff but i can understand why they need to "be in your face" come election time. they're just trying to do their job and get the people to remember who they are and what they stand for. as long as it's not a monthly thing, i don't see the big deal.
I love politics. It's like a cheesy soap opera laced with crack to me, but even as a resident of Maryland, the Virginia gubernatorial race is stressing me out. So, yeah. At the moment, I'm a bit frustrated and wish I could avoid this election season all together. But, I can't. It's too damn important and addicting to ignore. >_<
Election season is interesting but a lot of it I don't like because of the stupid commercials about how bad the other candidate is. I'd rather the candidates just say what they mean (no matter how unpopular their views are) and stop thrashing the other candidate. Grawr. It gets on my nerves.
