Football season is here! Football season is here! I know we're past week 2 already, but I felt it was necessary to bring up somewhere on this blog.
I've got a fever, and the only solution is FOOTBALL!
This post is to celebrate and welcome the new football season! With many exclamation points to express the proper level of enthusiasm!
And no, I'm not just excited because my beloved Jets are 2-0, just beat the Patriots, and have the best defense in football (though perhaps Mark "Sanchize" Sanchez's dreaminess has something to do with it). Football season is a gift, bestowed upon us from on high. It is something to be cherished by every fan. Whether you are fortunate enough to be a Steelers fan (although, not the case this week) or unfortunate enough to be a Lions fan we are all blessed by the football season.

From fantasy leagues to pick 'em leagues to suicide pools it is a full time commitment by fans that gives us a little jump in our step for 5 to 6 months out of the year. The world is a better place. It's so great that we willingly listen to sports writers and analysts and talk radio hosts prattle on telling us the same information again and again and act like excited children hearing they're going to Disneyland each time.
Well, my fellow football fanatics, this post is dedicated to the game we love and will continue loving. I hope the comments section will feature some lively discussion.

I'm not that interested in the NFL, but I watch it enough just so I can keep up with the conversation and at least know what's happening. My dad and grandfather are big Niners fans, I went with the mother's side of the family though and became a Chicago Bears fan.
College football on the other hand is where the action is at. Big Cal fan, hate Stanfurd, hate USC. Go Bears!

The Saints, unfortunately. It is unfortunate because they are my boss' favorite team, so I'll never hear the end of it. Especially with the way my Browns are playing.

Cowboys are my team even though the keep finding ways to lose games. They're still my team no matter what. I am a big Texas Tech fan too. I love football season more than anything, its the best time of the year!!

Ah, football season. One of the few things that makes me look forward to fall. I hate losing daylight savings time and that it gets chillier (well, supposedly. it hasn't been too chilly lately). But if it means seeing my beloved Eagles and Panthers (my former high school football team, not the Carolina Panthers), watching the leaves turn pretty colors and breaking out cute sweaters and boots... I think I can survive it.

Definitely a Steelers fan since I was born. Not even kidding, I think I got my first terrible towel when I was 2. It was my dad's favorite team but then he stopped watching/enjoying football (how is this even possible?) but I maintained. Of course it helps that my husband and I root for the same team although I will be kinda sad not to argue with him over which team is better.
