Seriously... Kanye West reached a new low last night on the VMAs when he interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech to say that Beyonce should've won instead:
I had no idea he's actually done this before! According to Dickipedia (A Wikipedia of Dicks), Kanye's actually thrown conniptions at several award shows:

- At the 2009 VMAs, singer Taylor Swift beat out Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, Pink and Beyonce to win the award for Best Female Video, Kanye West stormed the stage, took her microphone, and said Beyonce had been robbed. "Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time!" He screamed about her "Single Ladies" performance. Beyonce, of course, won Video of the Year, and had West waited til the end of the show to freak the hell out he might have seen that.
I have no idea if any of this is true - I just think it's awesome that he has an entry in Dickipedia!
According to the news, Kanye was Jay Leno's first guest on his new talk show tonight and Jay hit him with a tough question:
In a particularly somber moment, Leno asked what West’s deceased mother would think about what he said to Swift. Suddenly, the normally outspoken rapper couldn’t speak – but his silence spoke volumes, so much that Leno attempted to break the uncomfortable pause by resting his hand on West’s knee. After about 15 seconds, West mumbled, “Anything I can do to help Taylor,” before announcing that he’ll take some time off to reevaluate his career. West then got up to perform with Rihanna and Jay-Z.
I realize that Kanye is a
lyrical genius and the voice of his generation... but I see another South Park episode making fun of him in his future.

I've never liked Kanye West, but this just gives me one more reason to not like him. The guy is obviously a jerk.
No, I wouldn't pay a dollar to shut him up until New Year's. There's not enough time between now and New Year's for that to be worth it. He's not even worth a dollar anyway as far as I'm concerned.

Umm, I've always hated him and in it that his ego is WAY too huge for him. He's really not all that great of an artist if you were to compare him with other people...and yet he claims he's that great.

...I watched a clip of this, and as soon as i saw top of his head, thought "oh god, here it goes!" and held back a laugh...
Then he surprised everybody with what he said, walked off...leaving a shocked Taylor Swift, and was still snickering. Thinking "this guy is gonna get himself killed"
Im shocked though, heard all about this, and thought it was worse than it was...he didnt stay up there and rant constantly, didnt snatch the award away, and was supporting someone else, not himself.
Don't get me wrong, it was rude, wrong, and he needs to know the right place to speak (Tweet to beyonce that she shouldve won). But come on people..as long as hes hit it big, this is just him, no different from day one, thinking he is the best all time, cocky, egotastic, vain, etc. If it had been anyone else with a better reaction to him, this would've been played down way more than it is, but it was her, and everybody feels bad.
I would not pay the dollar though, to shut him up till New Years, cause he keeps me entertained, through music or being a douche. (Don't flame me too hard)

@meta_k@xanga -i actually beg to differ on this situation. i think for many he went too far. i honestly am not a fan of his, don't own any of his cds, and don't see him as talented. this issue is way too recent for everyone to shut up about just yet. i think a public castration is in order. can you think of another celebrity that's done this before? i'm interested in seeing how many of his fans will continue to support him after that stunt. for me, just another reason to dislike him.
its all a publicity stunt. he hasn't really been around for ages, ( at least I haven't heard about him recently) and now he's everywhere again. We should all stop talking about him and stop giving him the attention that he was asking for.
