  • Hot Nerd Girls

I have to admit - I'm skeptical that all these nerd-loving girls exist... let alone the smokin' hot ones that are rumored to exist.

I'm more inclined to agree with the ever irritated erahslover, who had this to say in a comment:

Girls SAY they love nerds... then once they date an ACTUAL NERD, versus some dumb jock who likes to play first person shooter games and NBA Live and MADDEN (seriously, if thats all your man plays he's NOT a nerd) they'll cheat on him with your typical neanderthal jerk-off.

When I see a really really hot girl making cookies for her husband and his friends (i know of ONE girl who's hot an does this.. but shes an uber nerd herself and they both work as video game artists down in Florida), NOT at Poker Night, but at D&D night where the participants wear cloaks and leather gloves, OR, during a LAN partywhere everyone hooks up thier XBOXes together to play World of Warcraft or Smash Brothers, OR at an OUT IN THE PUBLIC LARP EVENT(if you have to look up what LARP is, youre a fucking phony) THEN i'll say this is true. But now... its "cool" to say you love nerds but really it couldn't be further from the truth.

Maybe what erahslover is saying that nerd-loving girls don't really exist... or if they do exist, they're probably not hot?

If that's what he's saying (and I could have misread it), I may have to disagree.  For some reason, I find nerd-loving girls to be very attractive.  Maybe it's because they are attractive... or maybe it's because I'm a nerd.  I don't know know which one is to blame, but either way I am grateful.

What do you think: do hot nerd-loving girls exist?  Are they the exception or the rule?

I think there's a lot of kinds of nerds. Some are totally lovable and some are a pain in the ass. I like the lovable nerds.

  • kleptos_get_it_free@xanga

i have to say, i would totally make cookies for my guys at their LAN parties...
i would probably still make fun of them, but later go out in the yard with them and fight them with sticks...
i'm pretty sure that makes me a nerd lover...haha.

and i would totally say i'm hot. :)

  • AznFier@xanga

Hot female nerds are indeed rare. ='( I didn't know what LARP is actually, I have heard of LARPs but never associated with that term. And exception/rule to what?

  • MissPixieGlitter@xanga

lol at the slightly NSFW picture and the poorly worded caption. i like nerds because i am one. don't care to prove whether or not i'm "hot," though.

  • SlackerSociety@xanga

there are. They are rare, however.
But gamer girls don't exist, so I'd take my chances on the hot nerdy girl anyday.
also, I have a friend whose girlfriend is perfection. She's pretty much a 10/10 on my scale.
She's hot, plays D&D and video games, and likes to read and cook.
She's the special kind of hot, one that looks better every time you see her. Amazing.

  • SlackerSociety@xanga

@MissPixieGlitter@xanga - With most nerds such as myself, you don't have to prove that you're hot. or ugly for that matter. we expect you to be ugly, so if you're average looking, then that's a bonus. LOL

  • brainandpinky@xanga

Just look up Olivia Munn if you want a hot nerd.

  • doubleedgedchaos@xanga

lol it happens. I think the majority of the time i've heard this wasn't because they actually loved nerds, but they thought i looked good and thought i was lying. of course the moment i started blabbering on about linux or how proprietary software sucks ass they usually ran for the hills realizing i was not lying o.o.

But a few years down the line and couple "i think nerds are hot" later, i now have a girl who i think is very hot, and attractive, who actually plays mmorpg's with me, and will listen to me blabber on about software and operating systems and how FFVII is a religious experience o.o. needless to say i plan to marry her.

so they do exist. they are a bit rare, and they are usually taken.

  • MissPixieGlitter@xanga

@Gerald_Washington@xanga - "we expect you to be ugly"

ouch! hahaha. i think there are different types of nerds. i'm more of an academia/research nerd than a gamer nerd, but i have to admit we science majors don't tend to be especially comely. =/

  • ChasexInxThin@xanga

    I'm pretty hot haha
But I'm not into WoW or that stuff.
I play my Tales of Symphonia or Kingdom Hearts.
I read books and enjoy history class.
    But no one knows ;)

@doubleedgedchaos@xanga - "FFVII is a religious experience" That's freaking hilarious hahaha. You, sir, have just made my night

  • thedystopiandweller@xanga

must everyone be fucking categorized? i'm just a human being who loves lord of the rings, song of ice and fire, but also sports and UFC. sometimes i go to LAN parties, sometimes i hit the bars or a frat party. sometimes i battle on Starcraft, sometimes i hit the gym. there is nothing wrong with liking ANY of that stuff, and a person should not be put into a stereotype because he likes certain things or looks a certain way.

i've dated both nerd girls and cheerleaders. or, those that YOU guys would call nerds and cheerleaders. to me? they were just nice girls.

  • BranmacFeabhail@xanga

i one day hope to LARP and cosplay at a major con. this is a real dream of mine.

am i hot enough to be a hot nerd lover?

(this is nerd-business is getting ridiculous. nerdy guys don't like me anyway. too intimidating in real life.)

  • SlackerSociety@xanga

@ChasexInxThin@xanga -  As much as I am a whore for Square Enix games, not even I, a fanboy, would say such a thing.

  • justXforXyou_beautiful@xanga

I have to say that I don't think I'm phony, true nerd lover.

I mean I am marrying a guy who plays WoW constantly. And yes, he does have LAN parties with Xbox and computers. And I myself now play WoW, and have played D&D.But I do agree, a lot of girls do think they sound cool saying they "love nerds", but if their boyfriend started playing WoW as much as mine, they'd be gone in a second... haha
  • doubleedgedchaos@xanga

@Gerald_Washington@xanga - lol i wouldn't call myself a square enix whore.  i think playing a game like FFVII back in the day was allmost a religious experience, we had state of the art graphics (for the time period atleast, most of us were just holy shit 3d) and a quality storyline. sure the gameplay was a little dull, but boss battles were fun and required strategy, but i'd say xenogears tops ffVII, one of the best rpg's ever in my opinion. I think rpg's have kinda been in a decline since the 1990's, but i'd consider the 1990's the golden age of rpg's anyways. Kingdom hearts 2 is about the only game rpg wise that has given me a similar feeling in recent years. but its still a ways off from being equal, though i can't wait for Kh3 and ff versus XII they both seem to scream epic and will me to play them.

I'm a huge nerd (not a gamer though). I've seen attractive people who are nerdy and who like nerds too. I don't see why nerdiness and hotness can't mix.

  • Insomnia_Pickles_XtraTomato@xanga

well you know! some of us! as women, WERE dorks throughout HS.. and were unattractive and had acne and were inept at sports and hung out with the quiet boys and were made fun of by stupid cheerleaders and w/e else made kids "cool" back then... and maybe we only realized we were kinda cute by the time college rolled around (ahh, the equalizer.) and then, cute girls who liked nerds were suddenly cool! yay adulthood. yay for my wonderfully nerdy BF.

  • ChOcOChObO@xanga

@Gerald_Washington@xanga - gamer girls do exist, maybe you're looking in the wrong area hehe. Bunch of girls play at the LAN centers and hang out at the arcade in my area. All kinds of games too such as RTS,FPS,MMO's n stuff.

bonus: most of them look above average.... (this is in Korea btw) >_<

  • algebraicdisco@xanga

I think erahslover, should do some more research.  I've dated nerds, jocks, and red necks and I very much prefer nerds.  My boyfriend is a CS major, spends his free-time on wow, and doesn't even watch football.  I'm a nerd-loving girl and proud.  There's plenty of us out there.

and I don't really consider myself a nerd or a geek, but I do know attractive girls who are nerdy.

  • toastiebear@xanga

I'm a nerd lover, and a nerd. I love cooking up food for my boyfriends LAN parties, and I love playing Halo 3 like its going out of style, however, I refuse to play with the boys. No matter how much I love them, the girl in me can't stand the backseat players who tell me what to do the entire game. Its like when your dad is teaching you how to drive. He yells at you for doing something wrong, but then on the way home, he'll do it and not say a word. I prefer to be in the kitchen during gaming time, my girls and I (the other girlfriends in the group are also Halo 3 players) make sure the boys are well fed and then play games ourselves. Most of the time, on a separate tv, in a separate room. Once again, we've all had to deal with the backseat players.

I consider most gamer girls to be attractive. You have to remember you are a girl, and you still need to take care of yourself. Even if that game is going to run another three hours, no matter how exhausted you are afterwards, you still need to take a shower and do your hair. So do you men, though.

This is my best friend, Nici, and shes a more avid gamer than I. I consider her to be one of the hottest gamer-girls I know.

and did i mention that a gamers finger skills cant be beat? ;) to the girls who date gamers, you know exactly what i mean.

  • methodElevated@xanga

I'm very much like that second description (my boyfriend and I are even creating an innovative RPG together), although I tend to make brownies for D&D night and not cookies.  It's awesome to rock out with my thrown-weapon-specialist halfling rogue or my human cleric of Obad-Hai while eating sweets.  And afterward, we've been known to have WoW fests, Super Smash Brothers Brawl fests, Street Fighter 4 fests, and/or Japanese movie fests.  :D  We nerd it up at our place with our nerdy, tech university friends (mostly computer scientists and engineers) almost every weekend.
