  • Threatening to "Turn Lesbian": Inexplicably Simple-Minded

If you all are interested, let me throw in my two cents about why of all people, I, too, get a little skeptical about women coming to Mancouch.

I know I write stuff for Mancouch too much, but bear with me. Girls, it's not because we don't like you. In fact, we love you. That's why we talk about you. I, personally, just have an absolute inability to fathom a girl coming to a place of male escapism spot, and after watching Waiting to Exhale or Cinderella one too many times, basing her thoughts about men on the site.

One time I saw a girl say she was going to turn lesbian in a comment to a post. She was actually shocked at noticing men are about boobs, hot celebrities, or whatever else is posted in this site. Anyone who goes to Mancouch and says they will turn lesbian, and thinks we, men have really gone nuts, are welcome to kick rocks and complain elsewhere.

I don't go to Datingish and say the only reason we put up with you is we because we want to get laid. If I said that, my love life would be condemned. We don't go to Lovelyish and say that we don't care what you wear because we are going to rip it off once we start knocking boots, anyway. If I said that, people will assume I am an ugly pervert or a man who can't get women thanks to my simple yet primitive fashion sense. So, if I went on a women's site and threatened even quietly to turn gay because of them, 1) I'm going to look like a pansy for complaining about them, and 2) I will look like a complete tool, meaning a) a tool who is trying to insult women, as a means of gaining pity sex or b) a tool that doesn't realize that they probably hate women anyway.

So why would you even have the audacity to come to what is, again, a place of fun time for guys, and say if one man talks spit about women, that you will turn lesbian on us? That's like announcing to everybody that you are going to commit suicide: we assume you are doing it because the truth is you are desperate for attention; otherwise, you would have went through with it.

Also, don't think that just because you actually do that things are going to change. I have seen my share of proof that prove that women "sexually objectify" each other and threaten to bed each other just as much. See exhibit A and exhibit B.) So, either way, you are still going to be either a sexpot or a sought-out wife-to-be, whichever comes to be. So, like I got over getting my ass felt in high school, I suggest getting over being a commodity. OR to put it in comedian Christopher Titus' terms, "what say you climb off the cross, use the wood to build a bridge, and get over it?"

Sorry, guys. I had to get that out of my system.

Disclaimer: I am willing to risk looking like a dick just for writing this, but I feel this has to be said.

Anyone else wants to add some words?

I love this entry. Plus these bitches need to understand that you don't "turn lesbian." How insulting. For another thing they act like they are the only available female. Like it's some big loss.

Bring your noses back down please and turn the bitch switch to "off."

  • DyingWhileIWaitToDie@xanga

Honestly? I totally don't come here to say I'm going lesbian.
It's probably closer to the fact that I already am one.

I feel like such a stereotype-fitter. Oh my. Time to visit me some girly sites.

  • mr_faust@xanga

man, Mancouh has the 'relate post feature' while Xanga is still in flu season

  • thehighbreed@xanga

    pwned.
    and I agree with Chris.
This is ManCouch what do you expect us to talk about?

  • mynameisblueskye@xanga

@DyingWhileIWaitToDie@xanga - This was a response to some other girl whom in a man couch post threatened it. After all, the major stereotype of men is that we apparently treat them bad enough or think of them less enough to make them try that decision out. So, that was what fueled my sort of rant there. Personally , I didn't really expect Mancouch was even going to accept this.

  • CaptainP90@xanga

I gotta agree.  Nothing else really needs to be said.  I have no problem with girls coming to mancouch and I really like their input most of the time but some of them don't understand what mancouch is.  Femnazis are the most annoying.. a guy makes one remark and they give you a 10 page response on how men are sexist assholes.  Thankfully, most women understand what mancouch is about and don't rant in their comments.

hahaha, i'd like to see this girl "turn lesbian."

  • snapeful@xanga

    skye, i like your posts.

and for the love of god, please don't turn lesbian, there are already idiots in the straight and gay range. no need to give lesbians a bad name.

  • rebelmug@xanga

I, for one, read mancouch because sometimes it's hilarious, sometimes it's offensive, but generally, *being* a lesbian means I can see where the average straight male is coming from. *Threatening* to turn lesbian is just kinda... over-rated.

  • aquarius_lovedove@xanga

hey there are lesbians who sought after and think of women in the same manner as many men! so threatening to turn lesbian isn't going to make you feel better that the one you're with isn't thinking about the girl across the room....dumb girl

  • yourblondeness@xanga

the girls you are referring to are just desperate for attention. they are a FAIL i think.

  • youaintjam@xanga

    Turning lesbian, that's hot.

  • BranmacFeabhail@xanga

@BunnyParfait@xanga - lol like it's some big loss.

no one wants spoiled brats reproducing anyway.

  • BunnyParfait@xanga
  • snapeful@xanga

@BunnyParfait@xanga - yeah... but gay is only three letters to type out.

  • MeghanLarissa@xanga

I'm a girl and the reason why I come on Mancouch is to learn some perspective from the view of the opposite sex. I like to learn how people think in general; I read posts from girls, guys, Christians, Athiests, moms, dads, etc...I haven't really seen anything on Mancouch that has offended me yet. Usually if the title turns me off I won't bother reading the article. I think if I saw a woman comment something like that I would call her pathetic.

  • mynameisblueskye@xanga

@yourblondeness@xanga - I said that. I said trying to tell everyone you are doing that is like announcing that you are committing suicide.

  • nikii_monstrr@xanga

@rebelmug@xanga - I agree. Mancouch is hilariously offensive at times, still funny though. And really, do you honestly care if that chick decides to turn gay, its not like shes knocking boots with any of the writers. And i would love to see them wake up in bed and say aloud " hey, f**k Mancouch im going to be a lesbian" they arent serious, seriously

  • beforedawn@xanga

err i was born a ..shudder..lesbian... its been ..difficult but... i find i would truly not want to change. i mean really look at guys..  well anyways i will let you look but i really dont wish to.  wemon are soft and cuddly.. warm and wet in all the right places and they even smell good... soo what if they are all a bit psychotic. they cant help it, its who they are.
nope im a lesbian and i will never change cause i kinda likes the wemons far too well, enough to even put up with all the craziness that entails...
    ummm my two cents...

  • ShimmerBodyCream@xanga

The girls have a right to their opinion like you have a right to yours.

Honestly, mancouch is the only interesting one out of the Xanga sites. It's definitely not for people who don't like boobs.

    But who wouldn't like boobs?

  • erahslover@xanga

@BunnyParfait@xanga - maybe you HAVENT left and I just havent noticed you because you changed your avatar.. BUT I MISS SEEING YOUR REPLIES :D

@aquarius_lovedove@xanga - yeah. girls who "turn lesbian" are in for a rude awakening. Its common knowledge that women "play the game" better than men and they will get chewed up (haha, literally? what?) and spit out faster by a lesbian veteran than any idiot dude just looking to drop seed can accomplish. Also; who says they'll be any good. They always have the excuse of "women know what women want and they have the same equipment/can make me cum blah blah blah" but when in reality, as a woman you are more than likely going to do to THEM what YOU like, and that could be far off from what they actually dig. Who knows? I hate that argument because it leaves a window open to say all women are great lovers at birth while men are walking around clueless in the dark them hoping for luck... and from experience that shit just isnt true, yo.

@beforedawn@xanga - Uhm.. I smell amazing, am capable of being soft and cuddly, warm all over and if you know the art of seduction can be just as wet as any woman can - - pre-cum is a magical thing. you're DEF entitled to your own opinion.. but that opinion is full of gender based stereotypes. there are plenty of women, who by definition and not anatomic properties, are "manlier" than me who aren't any of the things you listed. You could just say you prefer vagina to penises because Ive seen plenty of Transgendered males that would be right up your alley if you ever desired to try some dick but wanted it wrapped in a nice female-like shell :D

But to everyone else who says "I come to mancouch to get the male perspective" ...you arent looking all that hard (no offense Mancouch, you know you my nigga *daps*). This is ALL for the lulz. The only time I take this place seriously if when some broad comes here pissed off... it gives ME a chance to bone up on my internet debating(*cough*flame war) skills ;)

  • dearFLOPPY@xanga

we come here to read posts from a guys perspective :) nothing more. thank god im not the inspiration for this post, ahahha. some people just don't have a sense of humour, so they can't comprehend the simplicities of the male mind.

  • ohsupskankk@xanga

i'm a lesbian, and i objectify girls just as much as guys do. i hate that i do it, but i can't really help it.
