Weekend plans: watch District 9
I'm thinking about seeing District 9 this weekend... the new scifi movie that has aliens living in South Africa (of course, apartheid rears its head again).
Source
It has an 88% on RottenTomatoes... plus it was produced by Peter Jackson, of the Lord of the Rings. Plus there's plenty of gore - slight spoiler in white text (one of the humans supposedly gets infected with alien goo and has to cut an appendage off). I'm in!
What are you guys up to this weekend?

I wanna see it. Tonight or tomorrow.
Word.
I personally thought it was one of the best alien films I have ever seen. Though nothing will ever compare to Aliens.
@forever_musing@xanga - I agree !!!
I heard from one person it was good?
88% wth?!
NOOOOOOO!!
I saw it and it was ridiculously awesome. It was long but I was never bored. I didn't know much about it, and my face melted. lol.
I'm playing Lego Batman and probably drawing something. That's my weekend. :)
I clicked 88% on RottenTomatoes... and it took me to Losefatatwork.com?? You bitch!
I WATCHED THAT LAST NIGHT! haha i would recommend it.
it has a lot of actions. i feel bad for the those aliens. in the beginning u might feel that those aliens are evil, but they just wanna go back home (their planet) humans were using them for experiment.
I saw it last night as well. I thought it was a pretty innovative idea for an alien movie. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I saw the midnight showing. It's a good movie, I would definitely recommend it.
I felt so bad for the aliens throughout the whole movie though.
im usually all for scifi. but this movie didnt satisfy me. i think what bothered me is this movie seemed like part one- with a key part missing. the end with the flower was good.
this is evident
SAW IT! Well most of it because I fell asleep a few times. :P
but from what I saw, which was majority, it was really good. I loved the parts where aliens and humans got blown up.
:]
It was pretty rad.
