Animal Nation says, "Never Do It Without Your Fez On"
After hearing my share of tunes that clearly mention sex, I'm surprised I might be the only dude who heard a rap group advocate condoms.
Now, personally, I'm not big on sexual songs. If it is done right and actually brews either sensuality, or makes you actually feel horny, then you know a sexual song is being done right. Yet, as I was listening to one of my favorite groups, Animal Nation, I came to the conclusion of how frightening it is that rappers aren't trying to sing about the importance in packing a jimmy hat.
The saddest part is that some people here (say, a majority) haven't heard of Canadian duo Animal Nation?
Its not your fault. I've been advertising them for a while. And one way I can do that is say out of all the rappers I have ever heard, they are probably better role models in sex than the likes of Pitbull and Lil' Wayne.
They admit being sexual, but suggests its best to never do it without your fez on. They let us know they carry one in their pocket everywhere they go, in case something brews, and one had a nightmare that they don't have enough money for things like that, and they already had a baby.
Over a Steely Dan beat, Steige makes it clear that he's not ready for a kid, because in the heat of the moment, some will forget to pull out with unprotected sex. Steige and Mike also speak for those that aren't financially ready for it either. "I can't even cook for myself twice a day/How am I supposed to send a baby on its way?", He points out. From that line on, and Mike (Mike is the one in the beige hat) claiming "A jimmy is a man's best friend", it's like we found yet another reason why radio truly sucks as a source of learning about the world over.
These guys inspired me to keep on with my collection of 32 types and brands of condoms (and counting).

Congratulations, the world is now a failure.
Sorry, I don't get it. What's a jimmy?
@Meowmeowkimmaee@xanga - The 'jimmy' would be the male 'member' and the 'hat' would be the condom that goes on it.
Oh brother.
I've never heard of them but I'm still going on with my condom collection as well. I found one that was mojito flavored. :D
Alright...
Lil Wayne's Lollipop lyrics: Safe sex is great sex/better wear a latex/cuz you don't want that late text/that "i think i'm late" text/so wrap it up
Just letting you know that Lil Wayne does promote condom use as well....
@spidergrass@xanga - Oh thank heaven.
By the way, if you want to hear their song, I'd suggest gonig to their MySpace. The song is on the list.
@BunnyParfait@xanga - You win. I only have those flavored chocolate, grape, strawberry, banana, mint, cola and vanilla. As soon as I find a job and get my money right, I'm going back to condom hunting. Haha!
@spidergrass@xanga - ha, i was going to say the same thing. the lollipop remix, if im not mistaken.
@Dare2BDiferentt@xanga - NOW, it is a failure?
1) They look kinda cute in that...goofy/silly kind of way. Especially the guy in the hat.
2) It interested me that you specified "beige hat", since the other guy was wearing no hat. Unless it was an invisible one. O.o
I'm glad there are musicians out there that are doing there own thing instead of just becoming another lil wayne or pitbull
@spidergrass@xanga - lol. i totaly like that song and i was absolutely shocked when i heard him say that..."he's promoting safe sex, YAY!" lol.
lmao. i listened to "The Fez" song. haha. cute. "i'm never gonna do it without my fez on"
@FallenReign@xanga - OK, white hat. They are all the same to a man who used to wear beige dresspants daily.
kudos, and its not like we can feel a difference to when its not wrapped anyway, so its a win-win for both sides =)
@BunnyParfait@xanga - Woah what? I need to get me one of those. o_o
@Littoface@xanga - I'm tempted to just like eat it. XD
