Reliving 90s Pop Culture in 2010.
With 2009 coming to close, and being the last year of the 1st decade from the New Millennium, it looks like different pop cultural resources such as VH1 will be taking people on a nostalgic trip to the 90s come 2010.
(Ed's note: "I Love the 90's premiered in 2004... but some said that was too soon to be nostalgic.)
What were some of your memories in entertainment from the decade? Remember when you tried to do the Macarena but felt ridiculous cause you couldn't get it accomplished? Or do you remember when you didn't have cable and had to look at Tori Spelling's annoying face all the time on Beverly Hills 90210?
What were the 90s like for you?

They were awesome! Ignorance was bliss. I was born in 1990, so it was all about the Rugrats & those jelly sandals.
Pokemon.
Three letters: A-F-I
The '90s rocked. I was born in '86 so I experienced the '90s at full force. TMNT, Nickelodeon, rise and fall of arcades, grunge music, Pokemon, uh, that other thing...
Pokemon and old school cartoons, obviously.
I wouldn't mind reliving the 90's. AT least the Alternative Rock music was much better, and less vapid than today's bands.
@mynameisblueskye@xanga - LONG LIVE GRUNGE!
the 90s. No cable, no cell phones... barely any internet! If I wanted something to do, I went outside and played.
oh, those were the good ole days.
Skorts, Pogs, Full House, Saturday morning cartoons, Pokemon and Digimon, Power Rangers (Tommy and Kimberly style), the telephone game, Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, N'sync, The Ice Storm of 1998, the stick-on tattoo's you would get from those machiene's, hula-hoops, jump rope, old school disney movies that you would watch over and over and magic school bus teaching you anything and everything. I miss the 90's. Everything was simple and fun. Technology has taken over.
I was born in 95 and wasnt fully aware I was alive until I was in 2nd grade. Mostly for me was fraggle rock, school house rock, pokemon, spongebob and toys. Yay walmart.
SNES and Genesis. Watching Space Ghost Coast to Coast for the first time. WWF and WCW's Monday Night Wars. Braveheart, Forrest Gump, The Daily Show with Craig Kilborn (even though Stewart is better). MST3K and Monstervision with Joe Bob Briggs.
TMNT and Transformers/Beast Wars
sometimes reading rainbow..for all those book worms out there
and just going outside to play in the blazing sun all day long was fun..miss those days...

All the boy bands
I'm not ashamed to say i have NSYNC and Backstreet boys on my ipod
Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z
Vault Disney (anyone remember that)
Original All that
Oh my goodness, childhood in the 90s...
-denim overalls
-Sunny Delight
-classic cartoons on WB
-Wayans Brothers, Jamie Foxx, other black comedy [hilarious!]
-boy bands
-hip-hop and R&B and pop that was NOT tinged with explicitly sexual overtones
Pogs and how nobody actually knew how to play.
I miss 90s cartoons. =/
remember before cell phones when people had pagers? ohhh the 90s rocked...
@raiderjester@xanga - Collective Soul, Live, Nirvana, Bush...they were all classic 90's bands. I just heard the new Marcy Playground a week ago.
people had trouble doing the macarena? wow. sad.
Oh and the music too! Blahh.
haha, i was born in the 90s.
The '90s were awesome... just not the clothing.
clothing-wise I feel the 90's were a beta-version of turn of the mellinium fashion; honestly, this decade we were a bit all over the place.
2010-2020 should be exciting, I'm optimistic.
for me, the nineties were all about the three p's: pokemon, power rangers and president clinton.
music <3
