Japanese "Image Clubs" - Yay or Nay?
I stumbled upon this term a few days ago, Imekura (イメクら), otherwise known as "Image Clubs". They are a type of brothel in Japan that caters to men with certain sexual fantasies and desires.
A little similar to Japan's love hotels, the rooms are themed from classrooms to offices to changing rooms and even recently, the train carriage. Groping on the train has been an issue in Japan for a while, so I guess it was only a matter of time before someone did come up with the whole "train themed" fantasy?
The vital difference between Imekura and traditional brothels are that the girls in Imekura usually don't go all the way. I am not sure about you, but I was discussing with my boyfriend the other day, you can only trust the Japanese to come up with such ideas. Hate it or not, they definitely get the thumbs up for originality.
I am not really against the idea of Imekura because I personally feel it is a healthy outlet for those with fantasies to go to and unravel their fantasies. What do you guys think? Imekura, Yay or Nay?

This isn't just a "Japanese" thing; they have several theme brothels all over Europe as well. Not sure what the point of this is.
I've given up questioning the japanese. I give them a green light for everything.
@BunnyParfait@xanga - Think the emphasis was on trust. I'm not actually sure.
Good to know, when I visit Japan.
I read a book about these in Barnes & Noble with my friends.
Well. There wasn't much reading. It was just a bunch of random pictures of brothels and random half-naked Japanese chicks.
It was called like... The Pink Club? Or something. It was creep-tastic.
But I guess that's what you get for sitting around in the "Sex / Intimacy" section.
lmao
@leadheavy@xanga - Because the only aspect of Japanese culture as deemed by Mancouch seems to be anything sex related. How boringly uneducated. - -
I think it's kinda cool.
@BunnyParfait@xanga - Stereotypes. Don't get started. Interestingly enough, it appears to have many female audiences.
@abcdefgaby@xanga - Oh yeah, I think I know what you're talking about. I've seen that too.
I don't know what to feel about this. This is from the same people who brought you hentai games, where you can act out raping women and it's okay because it's "only pretend." But I can see your point, that it might be a place where people can act out their fantasies, especially if they're not accepted by society.
...But if someone is into, say, children (ie school girls), then aren't you feeding the urge? Making it okay and encouraging this kind of behavior?
*Shrugs* I never know how to react to things like this.
@BunnyParfait@xanga - Well, to be fair, it is MANcouch. Can't expect too much variety from a site like that.
@Lordv16@xanga - Yeah I'm not even surprised anymore about what they can come up with.
yay!
Haha it's Japan. They're practically the horniest Asian country. China doesn't count because they have a lot of people.I still love them both though :)
The only one I found interesting was the school girl one. But either way I'd be nervous about even entering one of those. The train one also sounds a little disgusting..>_>
Yay. Call me kinky, but I think it's a fantastic idea...and what fun, seriously!
I think it's a great idea because there really are a lot of people with unacceptable fantasies (e.g. schoolgirl fantasies) and it'd be great if they had some outlet for it and didn't feel such a strong stigma from society.
I say yay. I wouldn't personally go there but I bet tourists love it. I'd never be caught dead working in a place like that either even though I contemplated going to Japan to work at one of those Cosplay restaurants. But those are usually maid themed and there's no way in hell I'm calling some guy or girl master or mistress, especially one I don't know.
@Littoface@xanga - But wouldn't any random girl who dressed up as a schoolgirl in an amorous fashion do the same thing, when stated that way?
@Lordv16@xanga - Hahaha. I did too.
Honestly, I say go for it. It's not hurting anything.
Sounds fine. Smart to! I wonder if they have anime theme rooms >.< Haha...
As far as the chicks not having any intercourse, is there a panic button if the guy tries to go too far? Hmmm
nay.
yay
Book me a ticket to Japan. Now!
oh those japanese people think of everything
Japanese culture is very strict, and the reason why things coming from Japan are seen as "weird, is because the people who created those are making an outlet for themselves to express what cannot be expressed in public. Much as anime, it's highly unrealistic, but it's a mental outlet into a fantasy world that Japanese people (and others) like to escape to.
I personally like the idea of expressing one's different sexual fantasy, no matter how twisted it may be.

i've been to a SM dungeon in California, the girls don't go all the way either
if you ask me this is no different than a simple, good ol' fashioned SM place with a slight twist. the SM dungeons do the same for their customers--what is your fantasy? they will get the outfits and props and the girls to act it out. they already do a variety of scenes, just not those Japanese ones.
so what is really new about this?
@KrazeeKunoichi009@xanga - i thought men actually do touch girl butts a lot in Japan. that's what i was told. i agree with you that it has to do with a higher degree of repression therefore a greater need for outlets and expression. weird thing is that they all know about the weird outlets that they are famous for, so how repressed can they be? i mean, they had worn girl panties for sale in vending machines. i hear that that is done away with now, but the men here in the US have to buy their panties from girls or the internet, how inconveient
