  • Man Items

What are man items? They are items that generally men have, men want, and men need at all times -- but can only be understood why as men!  Certain items like baseball gloves that we never use, baseball hats that are completely torn up but we continue to sport, or other prized objects we cannot be without.  All must contain an air of masculinity and have a value that screams, "sell the wife and kids."

    My Top 3 Picks:

    # 3 --  My Guitar

Finagled a telecaster in St. Louis while drunk on guest musician night to play with the blues band.  And my sweet Irene, a gift from my brother.

For those who know me, I love to play guitar as many others do.  I've been playing guitar for over 12 years now and I just couldn't part with this for anything!  I love to play my guitar when I'm happy or sad and the ability to make my own music is always an appealing one.  To live your life by the fret is an interesting one certainly.

    # 2 -- My Guns.

My two loves: Elena and Betsy.  Both have bang, both have bite, but neither talks back to me.

After serving in the military and being an avid hunter I've acquired quite the collection of guns!  I believe guns are an essential tool not only to hunting but to diplomacy and politics.  After all we are the country who speaks softly and walks with a big stick, you know?  My favorite right now:  My new AK!  Why guns?  Well, perhaps its my own stubbornness but I can't imagine living in a state that heavily restricts the purchase and sales of firearms.  I'm no Texas fan either, but I think they definitely got something right down there!  I can't imagine a lifestyle without and it seems a quintessential part of American life.

    # 1 -- My fishing poles.

A very nice Nebraskan bass.  Also a fishing experience from the great state of Mississippi, a spillway, and a drum.

I love to fish.  Simply as that.  It's fun, it's relaxing, and it's indescribable at times.  To watch the sunrise on a lake in the North or set on the Pacific in the Far East... the enjoyment of being near a body of water has been a staple of mankind forever.  I like to eat fish, I like to catch fish, and heck, I even enjoy it when I don't because there's no noise generally.  It kills the time and even if you don't catch anything you can make up some story that nobody is going to believe whether or not it actually happened :P  I have a very large assortment of fishing poles and I will have to say I enjoy freshwater fishing more than ocean fishing based mostly on my skill levels between the two.  I prefer ugly stick rods and will use anything as long as it's an open face reel.  I prefer spider wire line (10lb test) and usually fish with worms or minnows.  I have about 17-18 poles probably, and another 20 or so that aren't functional at the moment (or needed because they're ocean rigs) but I have two that are my babies... no pictures of them sorry :P  Just some results, which is more important anyway.

    Runners up:
    My baseball glove.
    My K-Bar knife
    My skate shoes from 1999
    My skateboard
    My toolbox (and multiple tools)

What are your top 3 man items, eh?

    My top 3 man items:

    1 - Golf clubs.

Don't get to play as often as I used to, but they'll never be sold unless I decide to upgrade to another set that I still won't play with all that often.

    2 - Video Games

I've got 'em all, everything I've ever played since I first fell in love with gaming as a kid. Atari 2600, Intellivision, Nintendo, both Xboxs, all the Playstations, Wii. The girlfriend and I constantly go through the same questions.

GF: Why do you have a PSone and a PS2 when you have a PS3?
    Me: Because I need them.

    3. Weapons

I used to be into martial arts, and the main thing I took from it was a love for swords and other weapons. I've got a nice collection of samurai and ninja swords, throwing stars, various other swords and knives, staffs, axes, batons, bows, etc. Only one gun though. Weird.

@lifeandlovequotes@xanga -  I think he just meant cherished items, that make him feel manly haha. But stereotypically speaking they are manly, especially guns and fishing equipment. But now girls have gotten into that stuff [because we're actually allowed to use our free will haha].

But anyways, I think my man's man items are 1)Computer 2)Xbox360 and 3)... umm.. I don't know haha..

And going along with @raiyaya@xanga 's Idea mine are 1)His love 2)His body and 3)His hugs!
