Free AK-47 with purchase of new car!
According to the New York Times:Max Motors [of Butler, Missouri] is offering vouchers for AK-47s.“Max Motors is giving away an AK-47 with every truck purchase!!!” says the promotion on the dealership’s Web site. In reality, it’s providing a voucher that can be used at an area gun store, According to Mark Muller, the owner of Max Motors, in an interview with CNN (via Slashdot), an AK-47 can cost $450 to $500.
Mr. Muller added that the dealership sold around 35 more cars last year with the handgun promotion. And he said he hoped to sell 100 trucks with the new promotion.
What a brilliant promotion!
Would you be more willing to buy a car or truck if it came with a free AK-47? Or would a $500 rebate work just as well?

What the hell is that kind of promotion O__O
I'd totally do it
@xxmaddychanxx@xanga - My thought exactly.
Let me get that truck! It'd better come with at least a case of ammunition, too.
Now THAT'S a promo that will work!
I've no need for an AK-47, but a nice handgun or deer rifle might be nice.
Ha!
Rednecks would love it; trucks and guns. Only thing left would be beer and boobs.
O.O wtf?
I'd get it for the gun, not to shoot of course. Just to say I have one. Haha
I'd do it... if I had money... and lived there... and could store an AK-47 in my place of residence... and had use for an AK-47... etc.
Also... when did they get that inexpensive? Damn fine pieces of machinery, despite their purpose.
*sigh* Thanks. Just throw it in the closet with all the other AK's...
Give all of the idiots one, let God do the sorting...
I'd do it. I need a weapon with some range anyways; my .12 gauge is nice, but it just doesn't cut it at distance. Not to mention that I can't take it to the range unless I want to shoot trap since none of the local ranges allow shotguns on the pistol range.
dude, that's frikkin' sweet! don't really need an AK though...
what the...
o.O
Hmm. I always wondered why there were has been a rise in gun crime recently.
I'll just take the gun, please.
guns without liscences are illegal where i live =D
Hell yes. I would buy a truck from that man just to demonstrate my unfaltering belief in our rights to arms as Americans.
@ordinary_gir1@xanga - You do have to have proper licensing I'm sure. I don't think they'd just pass out guns all willy nilly to people who haven't taken the Hunter's Safety Course or gotten licensed for carrying concealed hanguns.
I don't want no god damn red rusky commie gun, mister!
Oh, Missourra.... <3 Since when is an AK-47 a HAND gun?
LOL. I WOULD DO IT!!
Just for the lulz!!
@At_Sixes_And_Sevens@xanga - Why not? They're tools, built to do a job and do it well. It's actually somewhat smart considering that in combat, the average firefight takes place well within the Kalashnikov's range. Not to mention that you can drag an AK through mud or sand, get it wet, or generally beat the hell out of it and it'll still fire.
I heard the AR-15 is the new AK-47 anyway.
