I was reading
this article on Just A Guy Thing, and (after I stopped laughing at the situation) I started thinking about it.
On one hand, I can imagine having to explain what those scary sounds coming from the neighbor's house are to your 7 year old daughter. And being kept awake because it's loud and is preventing me from getting any sleep. But on the other hand, does anyone have a right to tell the couple to keep it down? They seem to be willing to cooperate, and they even tried a few things to reduce the noise.
I know that playing loud music after a certain time in the evening is not allowed, and police
can intervene in that case. But if the couple can't help it? Playing a radio loud is something that you control, and something that you can change at the push of a button. In the case of loud sex... as anyone who is loud in bed would know, pushing buttons only helps increase the volume. That doesn't seem like something that can be helped or controlled. Either way, though, it's being loud after a certain time, which is.. not allowed.
...Then
again, it's not right for either family to have to move.
This seems like such a lose-lose situation. The more I think about it, the less I'm sure about how it should have been handled.
What do you guys think? How could this problem be solved?

That's hard to say. Maybe a fan in the young girl's room, now that she's switched bedrooms, would help...
I'm kind of terrified that the neighbors below us can hear us. (At least they don't have a kid!) I try to be quiet, and playing music helps, but it's soo hard not to be fairly loud when it's really good... and when you try to stifle the noise much, the arousal and good feelings go bye bye, too...
So far the best solution is doing it when they aren't home, which, luckily, is often.
Earplugs.
Well even if you are a loud sex person it IS possible to be quiet. I think maybe the people should have sex before 1am to prevent people from losing too much sleep, or they should have sex in a room that's not attached to another person's home.
There are ways to solve it
As someone who has definitely made her fair share of noises in the bedroom, I know that it is possible to have sex quietly. Sometimes it can even make it more interesting because it adds sneakiness to it. If possible, they could also switch it up and have sex at other times during the day when televisions and radios can cover the sounds.
I don't think, however, that they can be kept from having sex because it is their business and their house/apartment so they should be able to do what they like when it comes to sex. Like the Avenue Q song, "You can be as loud as the hell you want (when you're making love)." As long as neither neighbor is hard headed and stubborn, they should be able to work something out.
AH!!!
OHH!!!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
OHWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
lol anyways....put the music on in her room..but
like the person above said..EARPLUGS.
You can either use earplugs or a muzzle.
It doesn't really bother me. I just giggle while they're doing the do. As for me, usually, she's not loud (there was only one instance where she was), so I don't have to worry about it.
I lived in an apartment where a loud couple's bedroom was adjacent to mine. I heard the dog in there a lot, too. I think it was a "watcher". Anyway, I started falling asleep with my iPod with an audiobook.
I just thought about that. Would it be bad to let a kid fall asleep with an iPod in?
ahhahahahaahhhhahahahhahah!!!!
okay, whew, that was a good laugh.
the noisy couple need to add more sound absorbing items in their room, to deter an echo.
what ever happen to stuffin a pillow in the mouth?

What does the saying go... "if you can't beat em', join em'...?" That would be funny to read about.... : D
She's faking it
Duct tape solves everything.
1. Earplugs... or 2. Telling the neighbors again.
Duct tape could work also.
funny
@xjadersx@xanga - what if concentratin so hard on being quiet ruins the sex (meaning worryin about it and focusing about it makes arousal disappear). they did move to a part of the house not adjoining the other wall, it didn't do much. sounds embarassing!
@LiberalArmyWife@xanga - it might be bad having earplugs on while sleeping, bad for a kids hearing. um, i really hope the dog was a watcher, and only a watcher.
if a couple's sex life is keeping you up at night & you're not getting any then you need to intervene and ask them to stuff her face with a pillow or perhaps ask the guy to donkey punch her a time or two + see if that helps. that's kinda ridiculous you can keep it down.
ipod . that`s how i solve it :\
they can't they play music? just get gag the loud ass.
xo
Either move your child or put on some noise in her room such as an aquarium, some white noise, soft music, etc. It might even help your child sleep. You should also have a polite chat with your neighbors and let them know that, while you understand it can be hard to control, you can hear them quite clearly and you might mention that's your daughter's room,
@ColdBeverage87@xanga - Exactly what I was about to say. No couple is "naturally" loud like that. People have indoor voices. Also, mouth gag.
If it were to disturb me i would buy heavy insulation for the walls of their bedroom and deliver it to them with a smile.
@dreaminlikethis@xanga - Hmm when I had to be quiet a few times it made things actually more exciting haha. That sucks for them.... man they must be loud.
My (ex)boyfriend and I had his place all to ourselves, so we figured it'd be safe. Turns out I was loud enough to get myself a couple of 13 year old fanboys. :( apparently they tried to peek through the windows, but thankfully they couldn't see anything.
loud sex only ever happened once for me. thank god my roommate was out - but im sure our entire condo floor heard me, plus the floors above and below me :P my boyfriend loved it LOL. wahts with guys wanting to make their woman scream?
