It's official: studies have shown that women want to be skinnier than men want them to be. Or as
one study put it, "the female ideal body with relation to curvaceousness can be found in Vogue, while the ideally curvaceous body to men can be found in Playboy."
Basically men want women to be curvier (not super skinny), like the cover girls of Playboy. This is Olivia Munn's Playboy cover from this month:
But women tend to think Playboy models are too thick. Instead, they want to be skinny like the cover girls of Vogue:
Note that Playboy girls are much less skinny than Vogue girls. It seems like a much healthier look to me. I am not a fan of the super skinny look that you see on Vogue. But that's just me.
Which body ideal do you find more attractive: skinny like Vogue, or curvier like Playboy?

To be honest I would rather have the body of a girl from Playboy than a girl from Vogue.
Curvier!
I'd rather be natural.. which neither of the sorts of women on those magazines usually are :-\
How about I prefer the way I look as I am? I'm a tad bit more curvacious than the girls in Playboy without the plastic surgery.
PLAYYBOYYY.
though i look like a vogue girl.
The wonderful Victoria's Secret mix. There you get the thin body as well as the perfectly placed curves. That's what I'd like to have for a body. But if I had to choose one of the above, I'd want to be the skinny type. I'm already model tall; I'd rather work the clothes than work the curves.
Olivia Munn
The curvy body looks sexier to me, but, being the girl that I am, I do have tendencies toward the skinnier look as well. I agree with the one blogger that the Victoria Secret's middle look is the more ideal one because it includes skinny-ness and curves.
Playboy, definitely, or something along the lines of Scarlet Johansson.
lol, plastic boobs and lip injections, or ribs showing? both are extremes that disgust me.
i'd go for the ribs over being a sex object. :]
but, i want to be healthy. muscular. so really, neither.
i like healthy
i rather look like a playboy
than an anorexic fucking person
I prefer the woman on Playboy. The woman on Vogue looks...unreal. It's not attractive to see that much bone and that little muscle/fat. She looks unhealthy.
i have the same body type as the girl on the playboy cover. i think olivia munn and the girl on the cover of vogue are both gorg, though.
Hmmm how about I want to look like I want to look like, not what men want me to?
I think the skinnier one looks a lot more elegant.
Playboy curves.
Minus the fakeness. I want mine to be all natural.
(Oh, look! It is!)
I wish I looked like a Playboy model! I miss getting noticed by guys :(
Playboy curves. But all natural.
PLAYBOY! haha this is what I strive for when Im working out and watching what I eat. I dont want to be that stick think anorexic girl in the vogue pages but healthy thin with some meat on my bones and sexy beautiful perfectly placed curves. its so sexy.
i envy a lot of the VS models bodies....they're perfect.
Because it's Playboy, then I prefer Vogue.
Stop thinking it's all for you, guys.
They're all so airbrushed; it doesn't even matter. Disgusting.
Playboy! I like woman who looks like they won't break apart easily.
xo
Curvy! I wish I was curvier!
