Like most people my age, I am frickin'
psyched for the
new Harry Potter movie, coming out tomorrow. In a lot of ways, the films just keep getting better. In one very very specific way,
Emma Watson just keeps getting hotter. Seriously. I love Emma Watson.
First of all, everyone knows
accents are sexy. There are few accents sexier than the clean, proper British lilt spoken so eloquently by Hermione Granger. Second, most people find power, money, and prestige pretty sexy--and Emma Watson certainly has all of those and more. Wherever she goes to college (despite contradicting rumors, she still has not decided on a school), she will be number one on every guy's list, from the uber-geeks to the frat stars to the stoners and to everyone in between.
I, however, made the mistake of watching
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets last night. And, holy hell:
this girl is young. Is there such thing as too young?
As a senior in college this past year, I vowed not to hook up with anyone born in 90s. While the vow was broken frequently, I nevertheless had a good deal of shame after any encounter with someone born in a whole different decade from me. There are major generation gaps between myself and someone born in the 90s: I was raised on
Fraggle Rock and Nickelodeon's Lunchbox, they were raised on "Teletubbies."
David the Gnome,
Dinosaurs,
Clarissa Explains it All: if anyone born after 1990 watched these shows it was probably on their big sibling's VHS or Beta recordings.
"Call me a pedophile, but if there's grass on the field..." Something about hooking up with someone with that big of a generational divide made me uncomfortable. Maybe it's the probability of having nothing to gain after the hook up, that there's no hope for a relationship with so little in common. I know that a lot of people have wonderful relationships with people both younger and older (a lot of our parents have major age differences), but for me I just don't see it.
Then again, I like older girls.
I ask you, Mancoucheteers:
How young is "too young?" Or is there no such thing?

is this post serious?
I don't know whether to laugh or be grossed out. This is a conversation you have with your boys...NOT post on the interweb.
After all, who is going to admit to being into a 14 year old?
That's ... just wrong.
Anyone 18 & under is 12 in my eyes. I tried going younger once and it just ended in disaster.
My SO is 5 years older than me. Older is just so much better.
:]
@theblackspiderman@xanga - I think more people would admit to that over the internet than to their friends.
Because who wants to be the creepy pedo of the group?
@theblackspiderman@xanga - Emma is 19: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emma_Watson
She used to be reallllly ugly. haha
age/2 + 7 = youngest limit!
like if you're 20.
too young is .. 16..
i never made that one up but it works XD
@fueledbylaura@xanga - hahaha.
back off, emma watson is mine.
@theblackspiderman@xanga - Legally you can't anywhere. There are people that do, it's weird but w/e.
@ordinary_gir1@xanga - That works sometimes. :P
@GiantUnicorn@xanga - I use this as well, anyone under legal age is meh. 17 is pushing it.. Since well I'm 18 turning 19 so I guess it's okay for me though.
Well... I'm fine with dating a 14 year old, doesn't turn me on that she's younger or turn me off I'd just be fine with it, up to a 17 year old (keep in mind that I'm 16). I'd go with 18 year olds but they just seem like adults and I'm still a teen.
now that i'm older, i can see the immaturity of people younger. back when I was younger it was okay, because I was immature, too. xanga is a prime example of such immaturity. anyone still in high school is too young for me.
and Emma Watson FTW. I had no problem being attracted to her (at the time of the Sorcerors Stone) because she was only 4 years younger than I was.
I once knew someone that was 14 and dating a 20 year old. That's just.. weird imo.
Anyways, um.. if you're 18 - 20.. I guess a 17 yr. old is ok.. but if you're 21+.. I'd say stick to the 18 - 20 range or older lol. But that's how I see it.. everyone is different.
She
looks11, IMO.
Sh'e baby faced, makes you seem perverted.Part of me wants to say "screw age boundaries" and part of me says the following:
Emma Watson is legal. :D
...ehhh. I have no chance, so the crush will stand. haha. Though if she gets any hotter, no more crush. Too hot to handle. :P
there is no such thing. sex is a bodily function, just like farting. there is only more to it if you want there to be more to it.
I'm 17, and I only date older. My limit is no more than 5 years. My current partner is 20, so he's around 3 years older than me. Everyone has a different age limit.
Emma Watson was 11 in Chamber of Secrets by the way...
-- Emma Watson is seriously attractive. As of about HP 3/4.
-- The "half plus seven" rule determines the youngest it's societally acceptable to date. Take your age, divide in half, add 7. I am 22, so I can date 18 and up. Dating is diff than checking out. I can check out anybody.
-- David the gnome... I can't find my old tapes of that one. How about Elephant Show? Little Koala? Shining Times Station? Those were my shows!
I don't think she is all that pretty, but yeah in the Chamber of Secrets she was really young. Shes a lot older now.
Lol. XD
I'm underage, but I never found young boys [my age] attractive. At all. Personalities tell a lot. BUT, I wouldn't date a guy eight years older than me, or one younger for that matter.
Hooking up with someone born in the 90s?! It turns my stomach to know that some people born in the 90s are even old enough to hook up.
She's really hot now, but I never thought she was attractive until very recently.
@Lushy@xanga EXACTLY!! I'm 1987 but I still can't get over that!!
Yeahhh, a decade's difference is pretty big. Emma Watson is a pretty girl. When she was younger, her and my sister looked A LOT alike. It was kinda freaky. Now they look totally different though. *shrugs*
Yeah if you're the type of person just waiting for someone to turn legal, you're a creep and you need help.
