"You know, just like in Catcher in the Rye. Guys tend to change their minds. Even when they say they love you. when they say it, they do mean it. But maybe in a month, they don’t mean it anymore. It’s not lying. But you feel tricked." - Kim D.This seems so true. So what about it guys? Have you ever said something, meant it at that time, and then felt different a day later? I'm specifically talking about women, not like you wanted french fries one minute and then the next minute you wanted steak. Let's be serious. Have you ever told a girl you loved her, and then realized that you didn't, but you were too scared to tell her?
This has happened to me. He said it first too. It's not like we were fighting either. The girl definitely feels betrayed and maybe at fault. I'm not saying you shouldn't tell her. Just think about it before you say it.
Mancouch says: The guy probably just said he loved you to get in your pants. Sorry you had to find out the hard way.

I love you for your honest and "tru fax" response mancouch.
i honestly dont say it unless i mean it and tend to get burned for such
any how alot of guys do actually lie about it
No, I've never done that.
I've said it before and meant it. But so far I've been hurt quite a bit because of it. =(
I've said it before and didn't mean it. And no,it wasn't to get in a girl's pants. It was so she'd not cry and feel miserable because I didn't love her back. Aww, pretending to love someone to make them happy...That takes me back. Worst mistake ever.
awesome response, mancouch. blunt and honest.
clever, Mancouch:
"sorry you had to find out the HARD WAY"
yeah. uhuhhh.
and this changing the mind thing sounds more like a girl, specifically my exgf's...
@MissPixieGlitter@xanga - exactly.
sighhhh... telling a girl that you love her when you don't is the worst mistake man can make.
believe me i know >_<
has no trouble with loving women...has trouble with all the bull they put you through to prove it...
@King_of_The_Night@xanga - Man that sucks. That's a good reason why women shouldn't say it first.
"So I blurted I Love You and then he got this look on his face like the one Indiana Jones had when he was running away from a big ball..." Yeah, this li'l quote sums it up for me. I am a firm believer that out of 2 people 1 should be in love, and the other one should be loved. I am always the second one, thank God...
I've never said it without feeling something at that point. I mean ya there's going to be fights down the road (there's no such thing as perfect, especially when it comes to relationships), times where you want to strangle them, etc. and of course we're going to not feel the same way about them during that period but afterwards we may or may not feel it again, depending on how the situation goes really.
Aw, you didn't link me?
Getting in your pants. Hm. I wonder if nuns ever get any love.
@Meowmeowkimmaee@xanga - I linked you. They edit the posts.
@Redheartmf@xanga - lol I like how you use both of your usernames. Oh well. I don't think many ppl agree with the statement.
I'd have to agree with Mancouch's response.
I said it to my first girlfriend a few years ago, and meant it at the time.
I also meant it the several other times I said it.
But after the rush of "first love" wore off, I realized I really didn't love her - in that she wasn't the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. Having to end a relationship with someone you've told "I love you" to is the hardest thing in the world.
Perhaps has led to my being gun-shy ever since. I think I suffered more than she did.
I was sick for a while. Ain't going to say it again until I'm willing to mean it, and work as hard as I can to keep my word.
Catcher In The Rye is one helluva good book. Oh, and some people can get careless with the L word.
That's happened to me before.
I believe he really did genuinely love me.[& no mancouch, he didn't say it just to get into my pants - we were together for almost a year]
Then it just...stopped.
