List of Awkward moments
So my friend made a list of awkward moments and posted it online. It made me double over in a laughter when I realized that I, too have experienced this...
1. saying "you too" when it isn't needed:
say, when ur at a restaurant and u are told to enjoy your meal and you say "you too"
2. line humping
we've all done it...accidentally humping the person in front of u in line
for example..
I was at dorney park a couple weeks ago and i was waiting to get on a water slide,
it was a long line....
at some point i saw that the line was beginning to move again so i took a step...
but it was too SOON
i kinda violated the woman in front of me...
then, a painfull silence hovered over that section of the line...
I KNOW that after that experience, she will never feel the same way about water slides3. using a cell phone as a defense mechanism
i do this all the time...
say i'm walking down the sidewalk(no one walks down the street in the real world)
as i walk i see a bum, hobo,ho, crack fiend, or generally anyone i know who would bother me
at first i'm like:
i know he gonna ask me for something i just know it shit he's like 10 feet and closing in on me...
so i whip out de ol' samsung and just go:
"hello, heeyyyy, damn son, i ain't know it was at 8, shit i better hurry or else i'm gonna be late, aight man i'll see u there son peace."
creating fake phone conversations to save you some change is a useful but sad technique...
4. elevator silence
have you ever been on an elevator talking to someone, and then someone else walks in and then everyone shuts up...
this strange phenomenon fuckin wierd...
you could be having the best conversation in the world but as soon as someone else walks in.... it's like
(oh shit shut up he might hear us)
i never understood why we do this but we do it... test it out will see how uncomfortable it is to talk in an elevator while someone u don't know is in it
If you enjoyed this, feel free to message me, ALL suggestions are welcome. I suggest you do not try out anything that was spoken of.

@RaquelHiggins005@xanga - Ah yes... Did it so many times... It gets even better when you realize that you are waving to a complete stranger who looks at you funny now, so you try to fix things by trying to turn that wave into a stretch. Yes... Delightful. But my friend had an even better one. We were standing in line, people all around us, hefty crowd. Shoving, pushing, etc. So then someone pushes her pretty hard, she gets pissed off, turnes around and yells "Are you fucking blind?!!!!" And then she gets a very calm response from a guy with a walking stick and black sunglasses: "Yes."
I have never seen anyone run as fast as she did back then. It was priceless.
The first one reminds me of my first day of school this year:
One of my classmates saw me and was like, "Hey, how are you?" and I said "Not much."
......oy. ><
I've been victimized too much my 1, 2, and 4 haha
I do the elevator one a lot. lol
ELEVATOR ONE. AHAHHAHAHAH.
Um, the first one comes from a Brian Regan joke, haha.
LOL. I think I'm gonna make me one of those lists sometime...This sure cracks me up! I have experienced all of this except the line humping.
lol these are really great and very true... the "you too" one was especially funny 'cause I never really thought about how common it probably is, but yeah... I hate that - I feel so stupid when I do it, and I think I do it a lot, lol
And I was thinking that, similar to your one about the cell phone, when you just try to avoid eye contact with certain people/pretend you don't notice 'em as you walk by... especially people you know are gonna try and sell you something, like when u're in the mall walking by one of those cell phone or a lotion or perfume/calogne booth or something... hate it!
@RaquelHiggins005@xanga - I work w/the public. If I'm heading out for lunch or something and a colleague tells me to enjoy my lunch, I sometimes say "you too"... Lol. Same thing happens w/some of those public ppl that come thru... Just happens... **shrugs**
