List of Awkward moments
So my friend made a list of awkward moments and posted it online. It made me double over in a laughter when I realized that I, too have experienced this...
1. saying "you too" when it isn't needed:
say, when ur at a restaurant and u are told to enjoy your meal and you say "you too"
2. line humping
we've all done it...accidentally humping the person in front of u in line
for example..
I was at dorney park a couple weeks ago and i was waiting to get on a water slide,
it was a long line....
at some point i saw that the line was beginning to move again so i took a step...
but it was too SOON
i kinda violated the woman in front of me...
then, a painfull silence hovered over that section of the line...
I KNOW that after that experience, she will never feel the same way about water slides3. using a cell phone as a defense mechanism
i do this all the time...
say i'm walking down the sidewalk(no one walks down the street in the real world)
as i walk i see a bum, hobo,ho, crack fiend, or generally anyone i know who would bother me
at first i'm like:
i know he gonna ask me for something i just know it shit he's like 10 feet and closing in on me...
so i whip out de ol' samsung and just go:
"hello, heeyyyy, damn son, i ain't know it was at 8, shit i better hurry or else i'm gonna be late, aight man i'll see u there son peace."
creating fake phone conversations to save you some change is a useful but sad technique...
4. elevator silence
have you ever been on an elevator talking to someone, and then someone else walks in and then everyone shuts up...
this strange phenomenon fuckin wierd...
you could be having the best conversation in the world but as soon as someone else walks in.... it's like
(oh shit shut up he might hear us)
i never understood why we do this but we do it... test it out will see how uncomfortable it is to talk in an elevator while someone u don't know is in it
If you enjoyed this, feel free to message me, ALL suggestions are welcome. I suggest you do not try out anything that was spoken of.

I do the first one all the time.
I'm guilty of using the cell phone defense mechanism. Most of the time though it's texting to avoid awkward situations
How about when you're having a great conversation at a table or in a group and someone new pops in and you kind of just stop talking.....
Happens all the time.
How about having your first kiss (well, peck) and it is so awkward and you both pull away and its like omg that was awkward and not good.
i do the third one ALL THE TIME.
its a habit now. LOL
this made me laugh (:
except i wish mancouch could've edited the grammar a little bit...
HAHA, so true!
@beetunes@xanga - Agreed. It's funny how they decide what to edit and what not to edit. I don't understand it.
Regardless, this post made me laugh. I'm guilty of all of them. :P
@goofball4@xanga - lol that describes my first kiss to a tee.
In my line of work I do #1 quite frequently. Kinda funny sometimes...
I've used #3 as a way to get away from ppl who will NOT stop talking to me! Did so on Tues. After a movie my friend wouldn't shut up even tho I told him I needed to get going. B/c of my excellent txting skills, I sent a txt to my best friend to call me...when he did I was like "hey, what's up? oh, you need me to come home? Ok. What's going on? Ok, I'm on my way." Lol... Terrible of me to do...but needed to be done in order to get away. Shiz. Lol!!
:e)
hahahhaha the elevator one happens to me ALL the time
haha. i do # 3 a lot
i've done 'em all. i'm just that awkward, haha.
I have never ever used the cell phone thing. That's ridiculous. I can actually tell when people do that stuff when they're nervous. My favorite though is when you check your cell phone for the time and everyone nervously does the exact same thing. It's much like coughing or sneezing in a crowded area.
for elevators when i walk on i check number of floors and ask for a floor at least two floors higher than the building... there is always one person perched over the keys so..heh then i watch em break nails...
for bums..ask them for 5 dollars first... heh might just get it too..
line humping with female jus say yer sorry but not really... less you truly are not interisted in her...
haha I do the line humping thing all the time :l or sometimes someone will be walking in front of me and I will walk into them and not realize i'm walking into a person, and for a few seconds i'll keep walking into them...
I am so awkward.
I think people see it as awkward when I don't stop my conversations in elevators.
What's awkward is when people walk in at the wrong moment.
I've had elevator doors open right when someone was holding an anatomy book and pointing to my crotch saying he knows where my uterus is.
I don't find # 3 really "awkward," per se...
The phone thing- Hate it.
The grammatical errors are hurting me. XD
But, I've had these and more... XP Hahaha, I'm just awkward in general. XDHaha... I've done all of them... except the 2nd one. I always give people in front of me space and the person behind me is usually upset and somehow ends up line humping ME.
the elevator silence. yup ! awkward!
How about when you're driving and you reach a red light, and you notice the you know the person beside you and you say hi. But don't make conversation. So you're both just waiting for the light to turn green.....and just sitting there
Lol. Thats great. It usually does weird out the other person that walks in the elevator. Two huge experiences with that:
Once when I was 16 i was on a cruise with my family. I was on the elevator talking to this cute boy who was walking me to my room and this shit faced drunk girl gets on. It was her 18 birthday and you can drink on that cruise ship if you're 18. So she was wasted and just standing there with this guy helping her and she was just giggling. The boy and I got off on the next floor and proceeded to take the stairs. Lol.
I was at a hotel with my best friend for her dad's convention thing. We were talking about boys and then these older people get on. One of them being a girl that was her dad's underling (pretty much) but she decided to break the awkwardness by singing "Push it real good" by Salt and Pepper. That went over well. It was hilarious though. Hahaha <3 addy
Rofl I love the first one.
One time when I was with a few friends we needed something to roll a blunt with so we had our 18 year old friend go inside a gas station to get a blunt wrap and as the guy was ringing him up he said "Enjoy your blunt" and my friend, in a hurry and not realizing what he said to him he went "Ya you too"
It was the most hilarious situation ever
