Musings on Artificial Sleep
So a couple of nights ago I've heard my fish talk to me. No shit. No, I do not have a wonder-fish and neither can I communicate with fauna habitat mysteriously. All the wonderful out-of-this-world experiences I've had (watering my lawn and not remembering it in the morning; taking all my shoes out of the boxes and arranging them neatly on the table; talking to my fish, etc.) I owe to my wonderful friend Ambien. See, I've been having troubles sleeping so I got this prescription. It's awesome and I can sleep.
Of course there is a big BUT. That tiny little pill knocks you out faster than you can sing "I Love You" with Barney. So after taking the pill and washing it down with a nice little glass of Merlot (yes, I am smart like that) sit back and enjoy your conversations with dead people, animals, fish, and sometimes even the trees. Btw, trees can be very good listeners - they never interrupt and they always agree with your point of view.
Also if you ever try that white chemical wonder, go ahead and try talking to someone on the messenger. It's fun in a bucket. Typing becomes incredibly challenging. Seriously, the word "phone" will look something like "lbfge". Try to decipher that in the morning! And then you decide "Screw typing! It's way too hard! I'll just make a couple of phone calls instead!" So you call your friend and you have absolutely the best idea!! You are excited beyond belief and you can't believe you never thought of that before. What's the idea, you may ask? Why, my friends... Scrabble of course!! I mean, what could be more fun than inviting your friend with a couple of two year olds to stay at your house overnight just so you and the kiddies can play Scrabble?!
So yeah... I wonder if my dogs will have something meaningful to say anytime soon. I bet they will. And Immanuel Kant will weep with jealousy!!
Anyone else out there had spiritual experiences while on prescription meds?

I know someone else (who I doubt is you) who has similar problems and I've had similar conversations with him after he has "prepared" to sleep. They've been... amusing.
lol my bf took i think a xanax whilst on aim... i dont remember all of it but i remember him saying:
he: i feel that if i let an object go in midair
: it will continue to float
: drifting along its own set path
3 mins later : tried a stapler. it fell on the floor and broke.
No, but it sounds fucking delightful.
I had some fun times on Prozac...
I've taken a lot of prescription drugs but have never had an electric lady land experience in the manner you describe. so maybe i'm missing out, or extremely lucky.
@MilkyWhitesezMoo@xanga - this is amazing. hahahaha
I hallucinate when taking vicodin the night after operations. Strange stuff.
um, tequila makes me sleepwalk. to this day, no one knows where i went for those two hours...
@MilkyWhitesezMoo@xanga - ROFL. Yeah, one of my friends who also takes the same stuff sometimes saw her computer screen ripple and float. And then it was trying to envelope her in the warm fuzzy blanket of light. Thankfully she never tried to float it in the air...
I think I will pass... I don't normally have trouble sleeping.
I used to have trouble sleeping as a kid and I discovered NyQuil. As soon as my parents found out, they thew them all out and helped me get a better sleep schedule. But it's comforting to know that I have so many options if I were have a relapse. I'm just so tired and I love sleep, I have no trouble nowadays! Good luck with your fish!
@eucharis12@xanga - oh the fish is still delightful! ;)
I took ambien and cut off all of my hair- I shit you, not.
I took Ambien and walked into my bathroom, wielding scissors. I had the simple intentions of trimming my bangs.
My mom comes running into my room the next morning with two handful of hair, yelling,"Is this yours?!"
Your ambien adventures were much more fun than mine!!! =[
@MilkyWhitesezMoo@xanga - I laughed beyond belief. Way to make my day... night.
