  • Optical Illusions: eyes that follow you as you move

    This is pretty trippy...  her eyes follow you around the room, even if you move to the left or the right of the monitor:


    Here's the pseudo-scientific explanation:

    Our eyes are extremely adept at looking for the perfect roundness in another person’s eyes. If we see a perfectly round pupil it means that they are looking at us. Even amazingly small deviations from circular can be detected.

    In this optical illusion, the pupils remain perfectly round and look like they follow us when we move.

    It totally worked for me... but I showed it to a friend who found it unconvincing.  Help us test it out: step away from the monitor and walk around the room, glancing over at the picture of the girl.

    Do her eyes always seem to be watching you, no matter where you are?
