This is pretty trippy... her eyes follow you around the room, even if you move to the left or the right of the monitor:
Here's
the pseudo-scientific explanation:
Our eyes are extremely adept at looking for the perfect roundness in another person’s eyes. If we see a perfectly round pupil it means that they are looking at us. Even amazingly small deviations from circular can be detected.
In this optical illusion, the pupils remain perfectly round and look like they follow us when we move.
It totally worked for me... but I showed it to a friend who found it unconvincing. Help us test it out: step away from the monitor and walk around the room, glancing over at the picture of the girl.
Do her eyes always seem to be watching you, no matter where you are?

I've seen quite a few paintings that were done so that their eyes follow the viewer, very creepy! But I think it's cool, I fall for it every time!
no, it didn't really work for me.
No
Not really...
I dont see it at all. You even made me get up and walk around the room.
Nub.Photographs are a lot more convincing of this. I used to get weirded out in department stores that had life-sized advertisements.
That's not really an illusion...
My aunt had a painting of Jesus that did that. It was creepy.
Nope. It doesn't even look like it's moving left/right when I move.
nope
nope her pupils stared straight ahead no matter where I moved.
@abh816@xanga - my friend's mom has a painting of Jesus in her house that is always staring at you. i feel like i'm always being judged when i'm over there.
this one didn't work for me. i've seen many paintings and photographs that have done it though so i know what you mean.
I don't feel like she's looking at me even when I'm directly in front of her, let alone when I move.
creepier still, she looks like a blowup doll. at an "after" party.
No, her eyes didn't follow me.
no. not at all.
she did look creepy though.
:]
Here eyes didn't really move. It's just that wherever I am she's forever staring at me.
