I agree with the dreaded "hair in face" situation... but it's never driven me to the point where I'd consider asking to be the little spoon. In fact, I've never used the words "spoon", "little spoon" or "big spoon" in a conversation with my girlfriend. It's not because I consider them unmanly - it's honestly just never occurred to me to ask to be spooned before I read that comment.

I'm usually the big spoon but sometimes we've fallen asleep and we've both turned over so i wake up being the little spoon. Lol.
Nah I don't like being the little spoon. I never ask to spoon it just happens.
I never asked to do it; it always just happened. The guy I used to love spooning with is 6'3", and he was always big spoon. I used to like being the big spoon sometimes by getting behind him and making him lean back on me... but he preferred being big spoon.
I also used to love spooning with a really good girl friend. *sighs* I miss her and I miss spooning in general.

well anytime we're just cuddling or watching television i am the little spoon. But to go to bed he is the little spoon. He doesn't like my hair in his face and he has this strange thing with falling asleep with someone in front of him. So we share, but I am tired of being the big spoon, sometimes i just want to fall alseep in his arms! lol
ha, my boyfriend and i pretty much always fall asleep spooning... we switch/take turns being both the little and big spoon - we both like to be either! i guess it is a little weird hearing him ask me, "can you spoon me tonight?" but i think it's pretty cute. :)
I've never outright asked to be spooned. As a very tiny girl, I'd probably like to always be the little spoon. But I've never tried being the big spoon, so I might not mind it, who knows?
I'm pretty much always the "little spoon" since my boyfriend is taller and muscular and I'm very much not. He hates having my hair in his face now that its longer, so I sleep with the covers over my head. Sounds stupid, but its comfy!
i think that would be so odd to spoon your man...like i think no ques asked its given that the man spoons the girl. the whole point of spooning is for the smaller of the two to be like cuddled up in their partners lying hugg...aka the woman. the man is too big.
I prefer being the little spoon, but I'm also rather small, even for being female. I agree with the hair-in-the-face thing, though. The few times I was the big spoon, I always had to shove it aside or tuck it somewhere so it would stop going in my mouth.

Without thinking, my boyfriend and I trade off. We do not say it or keep count or anything, just sometimes he is the big spoon and other times I am.

the only time i am the big spoon is when my cat is the little spoon.....i'm so cool.
i don't like being spooned that much. i'm always the little spoon but sometimes it's so uncomfortable.
haha I had an ex who claimed to be the "bitch" in our relationship, he blames me for emasucaliting him but honestly...I think he enjoyed being the girl in our relationship which is a nice thing every once and awhile!

The hubby and I have never talked about it, but I bet he prefers to be the little spoon because of the hair thing. I usually end up being the big spoon just because of the sides of the bed we sleep on.
