Quentin Tarantino's new movie got me thinking: what's the best Quentin movie of all time?
The contenders:
- Reservoir Dogs
- Pulp Fiction
- Jackie Brown
- Kill Bill
- Death Proof (from Grindhouse)
I'm gonna have to go with Pulp Fiction... although the first time I saw Reservoir Dogs, I was blown away by the originality of his film vision. Still, you can't beat Pulp Fiction for its general quotability:
Jules: Don't be tellin' me about foot massages. I'm the foot fuckin' master.
The Wolf: That's thirty minutes away. I'll be there in ten.
Pumpkin: I love you, Honey Bunny. [Standing up with a gun] All right, everybody be cool, this is a robbery!
Jules: The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.
Ahhh... what a masterpiece. Still, maybe it's just me.
What do you think is Quentin's best movie of all time?

i would have to agree with this. pulp fiction is definatly the best tarantino movie. when me and my friends are talking about it we sometimes cant help but quote the movie. plus no matter how many times ive seen it i dont really get tired of it. Reservoir Dogs is definatly up there too. everybodywho has seen it can remember the diner scene when they are talking about tipping.
Hate Pulp Fiction... My vote is for Kill Bill
Best picture he made was Pulp Fiction.
Best movie he was in was From Dusk Till Dawn. He played an awesome pervert/psycho/whiney younger brother.
Death Proof for the win.
Or even Planet Terror, since they're interrelated.
Still love Pulp Fiction though.
Everytime my friends and I go for burgers, we always make comments like MM THAT IS A TASTY BURGER!
Gotta love Pulp Fiction. Though, I dunno. I think i'm gonna have to give my vote to the Kill Bill films. Reservoir Dogs was great, but Kill Bill really was awesome.
Pulp Fiction or Kill Bill?
Well, I can see Kill Bill all day and not get tired of it.
I'll go with that.
It's a tie between Reservoir Dogs & Pulp Fiction. Inglourious Basterds looks amazing too!
Pulp Fiction by far.
"I'm sorry did I break your concentration?"
"Oh! You were finished, well allow me to retort. What does Marcellus Wallace look like?"
As I go, I ask everyone this: "'WHAT' AINT NO COUNTRY I EVER HEARD OF, THEY SPEAK ENGLISH IN 'WHAT'!"
Gotta give my love to Kill Bill, but Pulp Fiction is also a great movie.
"Wakey wakey! Eggs and bakey"
Pulp Fiction, definitely.
"Whose motorcycle is this?"
"It's a chopper, baby."
"Whose chopper is this?"
"Zed's."
"Who's Zed?"
"Zed's dead, baby. Zed's dead..."
Kill Bill, duh =)
Pulp Fiction. Kill Bill is stupid.
I don't know i didn't go to Burger King@FOXHOUND_HQ@xanga -
tarantino is my all time favorite director.
and Pulp Fiction is my all time favorite movie. i'm basically in love with it.
Pulp Fiction....with Kill Bill at a close 2nd place
Say "what" again. Say "what" again! I dare you! I double-dare you, motherfucker! Say "what" one more goddamn time!
(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gj13ugh5FYw Awesome typography from that scene)
Pulp Fiction was definitely my favorite until I saw Deathproof, the girls in the second half of the movie are just total bad asses!
Kill Bill or Reservoir Dogs for me...
Pulp Fiction was not just only Tarantino's best movie. It was one of the best movies ever made.
I fucking love everything he's done. The man is a genius.
Pulp Fiction has something for every kind of movie watcher. It's a classic and I love it, don't get me wrong.
But something inside me is still pulling for Reservoir Dogs.
Kill Bill. There was something that didn't click with Pulp Fiction for me.
Actually Reservoir Dogs is not really all that original. Tarantino stole things from the original Taking of Pelham 123. Like giving all the bad guys names like Mr. Blonde, Mr.Pink, etc. He got away with it cuz Pelham was made back in '74 so since it had been such a long time since that movie came out, no one really noticed all the similarities between the two.
Anyway my vote is for Pulp Fiction, i can watch that over an over again. The scene with Christopher Walken is without a doubt one of the funniest scenes ever.
There was also Four Rooms. Which, yes, was only partially him, but the part he wrote/directed was great in that movie. [Really, the entire movie, but that's not relevant]
But I'm not sure that I could pick just one.
All of them are great. He truly is a crazy fucking genius.
