  • Mancouch vs. Lady Gaga

Effective immediately, I declare a Mancouch war on Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, known to us as Lady Gaga.

But in order to start a war, you must know your enemy.

I first found out about this abomination because she went to my college, New York University, before I got there. As a result, there was this awful sense of pride that swept through our (not really a) campus. At first, I thought that this wasn't going to be the worst thing, because she was mildly attractive:

That is, until I had to deal with "Poker Face" about three months before it got big, through today. This song refuses to go away.

An interesting tidbit from Wikipedia: "Gaga got her stage name when the music producer Rob Fusari compared her vocal style to that of Freddie Mercury, and took the name Gaga from the 1984 Queen single "Radio Ga-Ga." Freddie Mercury was a legend, and Queen was a great, great band. Just ask the guys from Wayne's World:

On the other hand, I'm pretty sure that Lady Gaga can't, you know, actually sing. Also, I'm pretty sure bubbles are not something you can wear, unless, of course, you're the bride of Frankenstein:

I would make an argument that not since Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas have we had such a continuously embarrassing "pop star."

At least Fergie has some redeeming good because she was in Grindhouse.

Join the war, or be lost. Mancouchers, which one is worse: Lady Gaga or Fergie?
